My fiancé works with a television celebrity and since my stepmom has helped so much with all the crafty stuff he’s going to get a personalized note from the celebrity to her and arrange a meeting for her when we get back.

We’re getting my Future Mother-In-Law and my parents and their spouses double picture frames with the promise of wedding pictures to put in them later. (Considering putting an old picture in one side, but not certain of that, it might be too hard to procure them.) I also got gifts for our officiant/my uncle and for my bridesmaids, and I’m handmaking cards with heartfelt notes in them for everyone at the rehearsal dinner. We’re not getting each other gifts, and FH is reluctant to do wedding day letters because I “always upstage him,” but I really want to write him one.

I will be getting my Fiance a black FSU helmet (he has wanted one since we first met). I already bought my mom a get ready robe, but will also be getting her a personalized wine glass and handkerchief. My dad will be getting a handkerchief too, but not sure what else… but I will be buying them a wedding album afterwards too.

Im getting my Fiance cufflinks made from an MLB ball that was used in a game from his favorite basball team (hes a baseball nut!). His mother and father are paying for our venue, my mom helped with my dress and throwing the parties (engagement, shower, etc) so we are getting the moms really nice rings and his dad a pair of mets cufflinks (also a huge baseball nut). I got my dad a personalized hankerchief that says, “Today as you walk me down the aisle, always remember you were the first man I ever loved.”

TOTALLY would do a boudoir photoshoot if you’re feeling sexy and confident, but with us both graduating from college/university this year as well I just can’t afford it.  But its a great idea for a wedding gift!  Or 1st year anniversary gift 🙂

I’m buying him a smoker.  🙂 and the wood chips to go with it.

Our parents are getting frames with a note.  They’re 3 photo frames.  The one photo will be us with the parent as a kid.  The middle will have a note/poem and the last frame will eventually have a photo of us with the parent on the wedding day.

We are paying for everything ourselves, I didn’t think a 5 hank you gift required a monetary contribution.

We didn’t gift anything to our parents. As for him, we are both the kind of people that like more of a meaningful and sentimental gift so I had started a journal from exactly a year til our wedding date. I pretty much just documented everything that went on about life and wedding planning. Writing that last post on our wedding day morning was so emotional! My photographer got it from me when I arrived at the church and delivered it so she could get some photos The waterworks started immediately for him and it continued til I got down to the aisle lol

springbee2015:  Fiance and I got his parents Tervis Tumblers. His parents haven’t really been involved in the whole process and so far haven’t really contributed anything, so we honestly didn’t feel it was necessary to splurge on them. For my parents, however, we’re really trying to think of something special to get them. They’ve contributed a massive chunk of money towards the wedding and have also provided emotional support during the planning process.

As for Fiance, I was thinking of getting him a really nice watch (though I hesitate because he’s asked for one for a while…but deep down I know he’ll wear it twice and then lose it) or something else I’m not sure of. We haven’t discussed a price point between us.

No idea for parents (other than an IOU wedding album), but I’m getting Fiance a watch (probably engraved with our wedding date or something). He loves watches, and I like the idea of getting him something he can wear on our wedding day.

We did not give presents to the parents, only very heartfelt cards.  I gave DH a sweet Canon DSLR camera that was used on our honeymoon in Europe.  Worth every penny!

I am giving my Fiance a very nice bottle of Jameson, “last shot before we tie the knot!”. His party will love it. Do not know of a good gift for my father. He likes home brew beer, hiking and dogs… I want to give his mother a nice saphire necklace but not sure about his father.
