I’m curious to know what other bees are going to be this year! Are you and your SO/DH doing the couples costumes or doing something seperate? How are you planning on pulling your outfit together? Hopefully we can help give ideas to other bees that may be stuck 🙂
I’ll go first…Darling Husband and I are going as Burglars!
I think its super cute and not to mention super easy too! I’m tired of shelling out big bucks for costumes and these can be done with a majority of things that we already have. We will be wearing black/white stripped tops, black pants/jeans, black touques and I will be making masks. We will be carrying toy guns and money sacks made from pillowcases and monopoly money.
What will you bee?

@MrsBananas: I am going to wear all Abercombie, and he’s going to wear all Express (since they both print their names ALL OVER their clothes)
And we’re going to go as “A couple of Brands”! (Brand is our last name… Get it?)

@BrandNewBride: @beachbride1216: Super original ideas! Well done!
@ILoveMyKorat: I love costumes based off of childrens characters 🙂 We went as “where’s waldo/wenda” last year.

My son wants to be Frankenstein, so I’m going to be pregnant wolflady, Fiance will be mummy.
I’m going to do my makeup something like this:
Cheap accessories, and I’m going to wear a red plaid shirt. Ripped up jeans.
I may have a moderate pregnant belly then so I might have some wolf puppies tearing out.
Pretty sure Fiance is just going to use TP lol.

Mr. 99 is going as a swashcuckling pirate and I will be the mysterious yet edgy sorceress….the hostess of the party we’re attending has requested that I do tarot readings and hold a seance at midnight with my very old and notoriously active Ouija Board.

I’m being a flapper, but I refuse to purchase a mass-produced costume. I have been piecing it together bit by bit myself. I want it to look more ‘authentic’ instead of costume-y. Does that make sense?
I am waiting on most of the parts from Hong Kong (thank you Ebay!) and purchased a great pair of patent-leather shoes that are very 1920’s-esque. I am making my own headpiece out of rhinestone banding and peacock feathers. I am not just trying to figure out what to do about the jewelry. I could go the easy route and just purchase cheap, faux pearls, but I think I want to make something that is more Art Deco-y.
My Fiance and I didn’t dress up last year, but since we are having guests in town this year I am going all out!

Marceline from Adventure Time. Don’t know about Fiance. He doesn’t do themes 🙁

Not sure if we will be able to do anything for Halloween, I would love to do zombie makeup like this tutorial though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5NpkUfUXNM

I’m going as Lady Rainicorn and Fiance is going to be Jake the Dog from Adventure time. I’m taking a break from working on our costumes right now 🙂

I think if we go out I’m going to paint my face like a scarecrow (girly, of course) – plaid shirt, jeans and a straw hat. Stuff I already have, $0. After shelling out $45 last year for something that got worn a total of once and the bows fell off of it by night’s end, I’m going the cheap/cute/comfy route this year. 😛
