My Fiance and I are from Kentucky, so we will be serving more traditionally souther foods. Nothing too fancy! ;). What are you serving at your wedidng? I’m trying to stick to the format of a beef, chicken or pasta option with a starch, veggies, rolls etc. Is there like a formula to what we should offer?

We are having chicken with marsala or lemon caper sauce (they will be on the side so guests can choose which sauce), roasted potatoes and grilled seasonal veggies. 🙂 We do have veggie options standing by for those that need it. Eggplant lasagna seems to be the favorite, lol.

It really depends on how formal your wedding is. My wedding is going to be vegan, so I don’t think my food choices will help with your southern-food wedding 🙂 I just wanted to comment to say that if you’re having any vegetarians or vegans, make sure that meat isn’t used in cooking the vegetables, as that’s pretty common in southern cooking. Also, maybe you can do something cool with grits?

Steak/salmon with chef’s choice of potatoes and veggies. It’s a plated meal. And there will be Caesar salad to start with apple crisp for dessert!
