just make sure they are still affordable, you’d be surprised how expensive the fakes can get.

You could cut costs with real by:

staying in season, using fruit or seasonal decor for tables (sand and sea shells, candles, just rose petals… sky’s the limit), bridesmaids holding a single flower or tiny bouquets (nosegays)

I know a girl who made all these cute paper flower things but it was a ton of work

Maybe try talking to some florists and explain you want serious budget flowers and see what they can come up with

I’m thinking bare bones, 25 centerpieces, minimal bouquets for the 7 bridemaids and myself, boutonnierres for 14 guys and 7 matriachs.  May wedding, mostly calla lillies and centerpieces mostly prices with just some accent flowers, no cocktail hour or altar decorations (except petals for aisle runner)…  I did some price checking around and the range was very wide from $3K to 7.5K.  I think $4K is “market”.  Am I right?

MehBee, I think $4K for what you described is pricey. You should try checking in Brooklyn. Our florist is in Bensonhurst and we’re getting bout the same amount of flowers as you for about 30% of the cost. We’re using roses and orchids. Check Jenny’s Flowers – gorgeous flowers at very reasonable prices.

This is how mine break down….I got like 6 different proposals..the most beign $10K for almost the same exact thing!

Bride’s Bouquet

Deep Captain Romance Calla Lilies wrapped with fabric from the gown and studded with tiny crystals

$125.00 (20 stems)

*Option adding miniature Cybidium Orchid (8) blossom (I would suggest white with the pink throat)

$165.00 (they have to be wired)

6 Bride’s Maids (black gowns)

Small nosegays of Crystal Blush & Captain Romance Calla Lilies wrapped in champagne satin with crystal closures

$65.00 each = $390.00 (12 stems each)

*Option adding miniature Cybidium Orchids (6) blossoms (I would suggest the pink)

$95.00 each = $570.00

4 Flowers for Moms

Pinned or wristlet corsages of miniature pink Cybidium Orchids

$35.00 each = $140.00

9 Boutonnières

Pure white miniature Calla Lilies wrapped in satin Champagne jackets with black pearl closures

$10.00 each = $90.00

 Escort Table (card table)

I think it would be great to do a trio of containers the flute vase with white and pink Calla Lilies, a low black onyx cylinder filled with pink Hydrangea and a tall cylinder with white Callas (or the white Cybidium Orchid with the pink throat) under glass submerged with water and crystals.  We would group them together in the center of the table with small pink and clear crystal diamonds using the house votives around the bases of the containers

Cocktail Hour

6 Monogram candle shades along the counters (will need your monogram logo)

$10.00 each = $60.00

2 Tall clear glass cylinders with Pink Calla Lilies under glass with crystals and floating candles on top

$65.00 each = $130.00

10 Cocktail tables clear 4×4” cubes with floating candles with tiny crystals at the base

$10.00 each = $100.00

12 Table Centerpieces

Using a 27” flute (pilsner) vase with the long stemmed Crystal White Calla Lilies (open cut 18 stems) capped with pink Hydrangea, the stem of the vase will be filled with pink and clear crystals with LED lights inside surrounded by the trio of glass cylinders with floating candles and crystals at the base will integrate with house votives

$195.00 per table = $2340.00

Sweetheart Table

A low clear glass rectangular container (approx. 12”Lx4”H/W) with clear crystal diamonds at the base featuring pink and white Calla Lilies intertwined and emerging from the surface of the container.  Your bouquet will also be a focal point on this table I will also have special crystal votives for your table

TOTAL: $3970.00 (not including the listed options*)

Meh – Calla lilies are pricey, so for that big a bridal party – I think you are at the high end but still in market range.

Lauren – everything looks good; your CP are high, but you are asking for a lot; you may negtiate a bit more here.

I’ve got a unique circumstance in that I am getting a chuppah, so the work and fabric involved is a bit costly.  With chuppah, my flowers is under $3k with tax, delivery, and set-up; without chuppah, just about $2k.  That’s for 12 low CPs, 4 boutonierres, 4 corsages, bouquet, Maid/Matron of Honor bouquet, some cocktail pieces, tulle and runner with loose petals on runner and cake table.  I’m going with as much year round and in tulle and runner.

Price will depend on what flowers and also in what container you want.  I’m going with simple low square vases and not too much elaboration.  Makes a difference.  I think I’m getting a good deal.

@thebriz-May I ask what florist you are using? I’ve been quoted nearly twice as much and my centerpieces are simple as well. I’m also using in season flowers. Thanks!
