Cocktail hour:

veggies with ranch

fruit with yogurt dip

crab dip with french bread

cheese with bread and crackers



3 different meatballs

3 different wingettes

confitti rice

bowtie pasta salad

 tea, water, lemonade

cupcake’s and snicker doodle

Probably cheese and fresh fruit and veggies for cocktail hour.

Yum! Everyone’s food sounds good!

Cocktail hour: haven’t decided. I’m thinking fresh fruit, crudite, cheese & fancy crackers, and probably some fancy dips. It’s only going to be about 30-45 minutes, so not going overboard.

Dinner: Creamy chicken marsala with side of pasta, roasted beef brisket with side of roasted sweet potatoes (I might make my fiance’s favorite “dip” for the sweet potatoes which is a spicy dill ranch), broccoli, salad & rolls. 

Dessert: Cheesecake buffet with a few miscellaneous cupcakes & other treats.

We got married September 24th up in Maine.

We had:

Cocktail Hour

Mini Lobster Tostadas

Crab & Jarlesberg Puffs

Mushroom Arrancini (risotto balls)

Corn Fritters

Thin Sliced Bresaola wrapped around micro greens & shaved parmesan

Apple and Local Cheese table

Everything Wrapped in Bacon bar (bacon wrapped scallops, bacon wrapped dates, bacon wrapped lamb, bacon bruschetta)


Gorgonzola and Pear salad with walnuts and light vinaigrette

Beef Tenderloin with Italian Salsa Verde

Halibut baked en papillote with a green sorrel sauce

Grilled local seasonal vegetables

Kale and Collards

Potatoes Tallegio (like scalloped potatoes but with tallegio cheese and leeks)


Wedding cake – brown mountain caramel cake with caramel frosting

Late Night

Our caterer’s speciality ice custard sandwiches on home made cookies

It was delicious AND beautifully presented.

Cocktail hour:

Vegetable and cheese table with appropriate dips

Passed prosciutto-wrapped grilled asparagus with boursin and crab salad in endive cups



Plated harvest salad (field greens, candied walnuts, gorgonzola, dried cranberries, champagne vinaigrette)

Buffet:  Apple and sage stuffed pork chops, flank steak with port wine demi, penne with rustic basil marinara, roasted Italian vegetables, potatoes au gratin

Dessert:  wedding cake, possibly groom’s cake, coffee bar with all kinds of awesome add-ons (cinnamon, syrups, creams, you name it)
