Norah Jones would be so pretty! I love anything by Vitamin String Quartet, like Ireland suggested. I’m walking down the aisle to the Bridesmaid or Best Man singing an Owl City song and playing acoustic guitar.
Depends on what kind of wedding you are having? I think Norah Jones would suit a laid-back, low key wedding. If you are wanting a more ‘regal’, formal entrance I’m not so sure… it would also be lovely as a first dance song.
I think I’m walking to Ode to Joy (instrumental, not orchestral! Haha). I LOVE that song, and one of our ‘themes’ or focusses is joy, rejoicing.
I don’t know if the bridal party will walk to the same thing, I think they will, as the song (in one of the multiple versions I have!) starts delicately and builds up. But I’d have to check the timing. Or, if we have live music I hope they’ll be able to sort it right.
I walked in to ‘I’m a Believer’ (Monkees/Shrek OST) on piano. very unconventional, but it was fun and the lyrics were so apt for two cynics like us that raised so many eyebrows when we finally admitted that we would marry.
i am traditional and getting married in a big catholic church and lately when i’ve been goin to all the weddings i’ve been wondering why none of the brides walk down the aisle to the bridal march??? but i guess it’s not the in thing anymore!! lol
