If you always wanted to walk to Canon in D, you should do it! I think the pressure to be non-traditional these days kind of screws with us, you know?

I walked to “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele — but I never wanted traditional wedding music for my ceremony.

I liked the Vitamin Quartet song.  My bridesmaids walked down to the theme song from Boondock Saints and I walked down to the theme song from Last of the Mohicans.

@jennicole01:  Just wanted to note that “Make you feel my love” is originally a Dylan song FYI!!  Adele’s cover is totally beautiful though.

OP, my friend plays the classical guitar really beautifully, so we’ll have him play something.  Haven’t figure out what yet.  Pachelbel’s Canon in D is a gorgeous song and if that’s what you’ve always envisioned, you should do it!  You could always have something more non-traditional for your exit.

@lolot:  Yup, I know… although I didn’t find that out until recently. 🙂 Turns out it was covered by others before Bob Dylan even released it — weird, huh?

Great choices, all. I chose something non-traditional: Fireflies by Owl City, in Harp (cover) from a girl who had her mp3 on youtube. The sound quality was great and the harp music was cute. It’s a fun beach wedding so I didn’t want anything too serious.

My mom is putting her foot down on the ceremony music. I wanted to play Vitamin String Quartet but she’s insisting that we play Canon in D or some other traditional classical music. If it’s up in the air, maybe check with your Fiance and parents to see if they feel strongly one way or the other.

I’m walking to Louis Armstrong “What a Wonderful World” My fiance and I wanted non traditional music so we’ll have Colbie Caillay “I Do” play right after the kiss and for our walk back down the aisle!

I walked in to “One Hand, One Heart” from West Side Story played by a harp and flute duo.

I prefer something a bit more individual than Canon in D, or the bleeding Wagner Bridal March.
