We have a solo violinist.  I’m walking to an arrangement of Across the Universe.

Something different, non traditional and non strings only, but I’m trying to find something other than my original choice which was “Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)” by the Arcade Fire.  I want a song that has more meaning to either myself or myself and FI; while we both like the Arcade Fire, it’s not as special as it could be.

I can’t remember the name of the song. It was a lovely slow banjo number at our country wedding.

Edit: Thanks to Google I found the instrumental fiddle CD I got the ceremony music from. The song was Whispering Hope, which is an old hymn. I wanted something instrumental and fitting to our down-home wedding and that’s what I got!

My uncle will be playing “you’ve got a friend” by Carole King on acoustic guitar while my cousin whos a professional drummer accompanies him on some kind of soft drum.  I wanted to incorporate family into the day as much as possible and think this is such a nice way to do that.  Also, the song has such a nice sentiment and will definitely make me cry! haha

@SimplyMrsC:  Same. I think I’m going to have the piano version playing for everyone, including myself. I just love the song!

My friend played an acoustic guitar version of “Isn’t She Lovely”…without the lyrics.
