    "Here Comes the Bride"

    "Canon in D"

    "Hoppipola"

    "Ode to Joy"

    "Air on the G-String"

    A Vitamin String Quartet arrangement

Something else (I want to hear about it!)

Nothing: there will be no music at my wedding.

My bridal party and I are walking down to the instrumental version of Turning Page by Sleeping at Last.  Now, I know what you’re all thinking if you know this song: It was in Twilight: Breaking Dawn.  Even I chuckle about this, but the Twilight saga (though having nothing really to do with our wedding) is important to us and here’s why: When I met my fiancee, the first movie came out on the weekend following.  It was our first formal “date” that didn’t involve those kinda awkward “getting to know you” first meetings.  On that date, we decided to exclusively date. Every year since then, another Twilight movie has been released, and we go and see it.  I liked the books well enough, and the movies are always showing on our anniversary, so it’s become our inside joke to go to the movie on our anniversary. When we went to see Breaking Dawn Part I on our 4th anniversary, she proposed.  Besides all this, the instrumental version (and the non instrumental) is just a gorgeous piece of music anyhow. I highly recommend it.

@Firenze:  Funny you should say that.  Fiance and my first “date” was to see the first Twilight.  I knew nothing about it at the time except that it was a vampire flick.  He told me later on that I was never allowed to pick the movie again.  Maybe that had something to do with why we each started dating other people after that before we decided that we really wanted to be together.

@loving_life:  OMG. I might have to steal your idea. I love it. And the groom will get a kick out of it.

It’s a beautiful song, and I know everyone will think of Step Brothers. Hopefully it will make everyone smile. 🙂 Thanks for the idea!

Grandparents, parents, and the rest of the bridal party will walk to Hallelujah (Rufus Wainwright version – think Shrek) and the flower girls, maid of honor, and myself will walk to Marry Me, by Train.
