    "Here Comes the Bride"

    "Canon in D"

    "Hoppipola"

    "Ode to Joy"

    "Air on the G-String"

    A Vitamin String Quartet arrangement

Something else (I want to hear about it!)

Nothing: there will be no music at my wedding.

Marry me by Train. my bridal party walked down the aisle to the Hawaiian version of “somewhere over the rainbow” … only appropriate for a wizard of oz wedding ๐Ÿ˜‰ we left the ceremony to “follow the yellow brick road” haha … my DH and his mom danced to “the twist” by chubby checker and my dad and I danced to Rush’s Different Strings …. no traditional wedding music here ๐Ÿ™‚

“Air on a G String” by Bach

I spent a long time trying to find the songs that felt right and went well together:

Seating of the Mothers, Entrance of the Reverend and the Groom: “Prelude” from Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky
Processional: “Largo” from Xerxes by George Fredrick Handel
Bridal Entrance: “Air on a G String” by Bach

@rubyred605:  This was my first choice, until I realized that my ceremony venue is going to have a longer walk for the ceremony than I was expecting. Also many more parents are walking than I realized. Did you play it on a loop? Or did you have the timing down so it only needed one playthrough? I’m torn on if this won’t sound as magical if it has to play 4 times

I had my musician friend play an acoustic version of “Marry Me” by train. He is an amazing singer and it was one of my favorite parts of my ceremony.

#1 – Romantic Flight (How to Train Your Dragon)

BUT I’m worried that it’s too short and will have to play on a loop too often and some of the magic will wear off.

#2 – Now I See the Light (Instrumental) from Tangled

#3 – Neville’s Waltz  (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire)

(Yes I got most of these ideas from the Off Beat Bride)

Fiance and I are walking down the aisle to Canon in D.  It’s traditional, plus, that song makes me tear up every time.

I am surprised by all of the non-traditional processional songs!  I don’t think I’ve ever been to a wedding where the bride entered to anything but the Wedding March or Canon in D.

I’m sure others have said this ( I haven’t read through the responses yet ) but.. Marry Me by Train

EDT: My girls will walk down the aisle to Bound to You by Christina Aguliera, and we are going to *start* walking back to something unknown at this point, but about 1/3 of the way it will change to the imperial march (star wars)

@doobie:  I am doing Wonderful Tonight too for walking down the aisle too! It’s mine and my fiance’s song since we started dating….I thought I would always do Canon in D, but then I heard Vitamin String’s Quartet version of Wonderful Tonight and can now imagine nothing else, we actually just booked our quartet for it ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s a beautiful classic song.

Probably a cover of Train’s Marry me by a friend of the family who is doing our ceremony/cocktail hour music, instead of stopping though…they will repeat it on guitar through the ceremony.

My Fiance and I agreed that we will walk down the isle together. The wedding party will walk down the isle to music and we will walk down the isle to a poem that describes our love for each other. I dont want to be given away because it is my choice and walking down the isle together signifies us walking into our new lives together. I have incorporated some tradition but we have decided to have it our way.
