fromsmithtodavis:  It’s so funny. I’ve been playing with the idea of including that song in my wedding ceremony as well. It’s so pretty.

I am walking down the aisle to “A Couple of Forevers” by Chrisette Michelle

I attended a wedding a while ago where the bridal party walked in to “A Thousand Years” I thought of Twilight for a second, then focused on the pretty dresses.

fromsmithtodavis:  I walked down the aisle to the Intermezzo of Pietro Mascagni’s opera Cavalleria Rusticana.

Our recessional was the Linus and Lucy song from Charlie Brown Christmas (Peanuts theme).

Our bridal party entrance was to Bette Midler’s The Rose.

Cake Cutting was to Maurice Jarre’s Building the Barn song from the movie Witness.

The last song was a flute version of Amazing Grace.

I love the music threads too!  🙂

fromsmithtodavis:  I heard an instrumental version of thousand years last night (when looking for aisle music) and thought it was beautiful! More subtle without vocals and definitely less twilighty!

I walked down the aisle to Crazy Love by Van Morrison. I had a family friend play the simple guitar version with Van Morrison and Bob Dylan, it was magical and made everyone cry.

When everyone was coming in (by default walking down the aisle).. It was ‘Thank You’ by Led Zeppelin.
