I’m walking down to, “Close to you” by The Carpenters. Me and my dad loved singing to theit songs when I was a kid and he’s no longer here.

Also my Fiance has hair of gold and eyes of blue so it fits. Also he loves the Simpsons and they use it often in their episodes.

Debating using it for whole party and we only have one person each? Any one else do this?

Our first dance is “Everything” by Michael Buble.

Uncle niece dance for me is “My Little Girl” Tim McGraw then cut to “You Should be Dancing” by the BeeGees

I walled down the aisle to Kiss Me by Sixpence None The Richer and I’ll never forget that moment and every time I hear the song I tear up 😢

fromsmithtodavis:  We’re doing all parts of the processional before the bridesmaids to whatever is playing on the prelude CD.  The first 2:17 of Concerning Hobbits will be for my bridesmaids, and the last 38 seconds will be for me.  Our recessional is the Star Wars theme, and our first dance will be a violin instrumental of “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz.

I haven’t 100% figured out the ceremony, but I know I’d like to use this instrumental version of Bob Marley’s One Love that I found. Not sure if I’ll change to another song for when I (the bride) walks out… thinking Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’Ole.

We’re also thinking of playing The Beach Boys Wouldnt It Be Nice while we walk back down the asile together after the ceremony.

And our first dance will be John Legend All of Me.

Haven’t figured out the dances with our parents yet. I want Aerosmith Don’t Want to Miss a Thing for Father-Daughter but my dad is worried you can’t dance to it. We’ll see… 🙂

The bridal party walked down to “marry me” by train. Iwalked down to “Thousand years” by christina perri. Our first dance song was “seat next to you” by bon jovi. Fath daughter song was “i loved her first” by heartland. Mother son dance was “my wish” by rascal flatts. I was really happy woth our choices, but definitely go with songs that mean something to you and your soon to be husband.

fromsmithtodavis:  It’s a beautiful song to walk down the aisle too, dear bee!!! Tear jerker to start! Love it!

I’m not sure what we will walk down to. We are walking together, so “Here comes the bride” won’t work… Lol! We are talking about Hall and Oates “You Make My Dreams (come true)” as the song we walk to, so we’ll see! We don’t have a wedding party so no song for them. Our first dance is from a Shawn Lee called Happiness. Its a strange song, but it’s fun and makes us giggle all the time. We might throw in the hussle for fun! Lol!

We have a string quartet for the ceremony so all of these will be modified to a quartet.

Guests will sit down to traditional celtic wedding songs.

Wedding party : No Ones Gonna Love You Like I Do – Band of Horses

Bride Enterance : Hoppipolla – Sigur Ros

Exit – Over The Rainbow – Israel Kamakawiwo’ole (grooms little sister will accompany quartet on the ukulele)

Reception is a DJ and the songs are:

Wedding party and Bride and Groom entrance – Final Countdown – Europe

First Dance – First Day Of My Life – Bright Eyes (favorite band of mine since I was 14)

Groom Dance – TBD

Father/Daughter Dance – My Girl – The Temptations faded into Gettin Giggy With It – Will Smith (dads choice)

I am loving everyones ideas!!
