I feel like when people see the bridesmaids walking in to a modern country song, it’ll be obvious what’s going on when it switches to the traditional. I’ve always loved Canon in D. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Anitra’s Dance from Peer Gynt by Grieg.  Not suitable if you care about context (Peer ends up marrying someone other than Anitra), but it’s really pretty and a decent compromise between Ride of the Valkyries (my first choice) and Water Music (my dad’s first choice)

My dad also suggested Canon D for walking out, so it’s not a bridesmaids only thing.  If you love that song, you will have a blast walking down to it.

I don’t think canon in d is only a bridesmaid song. That’s what I walked in to.

mrsmommy082517 :  I wanted to walk out to From the Ground up but DH cannot stand Dan + Shay. He does hummor me and go with me to see them every year. I absolutely love that song, I’m so jealous!

pepper1115 :  I always thought I would walk in to Cannon in D, because it was my favorite song to play back when I took piano lessons, but literally every wedding I’ve been to in the past 10 years the bride has walked in to it, so I nixed it.

Right now I’m thinking of “When the right one comes along” it was on Nashville, but originally done by Striking Matches. I’m even toying with the idea of recording us singing it with him accompaning on the guitar, but I haven’t decided 100% yet. For our quickie elopment in a small wedding chapel I didn’t walk down the isle to anything special, it was just a nice song they had playing.

I’m walking out to a piano version of Follow You Follow Me by Genesis. If you look on the “music” board there’s a lot of suggestions for processional songs.

Canin in D is long enough for you to walk out to it as well as your bridesmaids. I walked out to Trumpet Voluntary – same as my mom ๐Ÿ˜Š

We hired a guitarist and I’m walking out to Here, There, and Everywhere by the Beatles. I was just listening to it again now, so excited ๐Ÿ˜€

I’m likely walking to the traditional song Here Comes the Bride BUT adding my own lil twist….. I found a rock n roll electric guitar version ( but not over the top) It’s more me and we both love rock and roll so it seems fitting! :+)

I think our bridal party and parents will walk to Piano Guys Somewhere Over the Rainbow (it’ll be a nice transition because the rock version of Here Comes the Bride starts off very soft then guitar kicks in) it’ll be perfect! :+)
