    Etiquette Snob here… lol

When it comes to Vow Renewals (and even Encore Brides), times have changed / relaxed a bit.

    THANK GOODNESS !!

For a Vow Renewal you can certainly wear a Wedding Dress (especially so if it is the one you wore originally)… so no worries there.

Hubby can wear whatever he pleases as long as the tone & formality match the Bride

@TakeTwo  I’ve seen you a few times around the WBee Boards, would love to hear more about your Elopement and your upcoming Vow Renewal.

I don’t think these types of Wedding Celebrations are talked enough about (be that on WBee or anywhere else)

Which is sad… and actually how I ended on WBee to begin with

    Sounds like a plan.

And yes Family Drama can AND SADLY DOES ruin some Weddings.

Sorry to hear that was the case with yours.

    As for Vow Renewals…

Personally, I don’t think Wedding Gowns are in poor taste for a Vow Renewal at all…

BUT going over the top… ala Celine Dion’s 2000 Extravaganza is … especially in light of the fact that she had a HUGE Mega Celebrity Wedding in 1994

(As a Canadian I am sure you’ve heard / seen pics of BOTH of them… if not here is great YouTube clip from Oprah = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCy7a8GdLiY )

Anyhow, as long as you aren’t planning to go all Lady Di (HUGE Pouffy Dress, Mega Train & Veil) I am sure you’ll be good to go.

    Hope this helps,
