I am thinking about spanks and letting them sew in cups –
anyone try spanx? Do you like it? is it uncomfortable at the end of the day? And if I am having them sew in cups does that mean I have to go in there and try on the dress without a bra? eeks im shy!

Ehh don’t be shy about being “topless” when you try on the dress! My salon gives you a little robe that you put over your shoulders; the attendant then puts the dress up over your head and you drop the robe as she slides the dress back over you…she never sees a thing! If your dress shop doesn’t have the robes, you can always bring in a cardigan, button down shirt, etc to do the same thing with!

I’m wearing Spanx Slim Cognito and, at the moment, a Simone Perele bra.

I felt the same way but after a couple changes… you start to forget. These ladies have seen it all.

Scratch that. I’m returning them both! I wore them to my fitting last week and they were both pretty uncomfortable — not a feeling you want on your wedding day. Or any day, really.
So, I’m open to suggestions, too.

I am not wearing anything on top. I have spanx and wore them dress shopping but when it comes right down to it I find them hard to pee in! I figured that I’m already going to have trouble going to the bathroom with the dress I didnt want to add another factor of the spanx. SO top comando and regular undies for me!

I was so lucky, my dress had a built in bra so I didn’t have to wear a bra, and it was think enough that I didn’t have to wear Spanx or anything. Hubs was so happy that all’s he had to do was unzip my dress and there I was in just my panties. He said that was the best part of the day for him

i’ve worn spanx a few times… very uncomfortable! and i didn’t even feel like it made much of a difference. however, it did make a little difference, so we’ll see if i feel that i need to wear them by the time of the wedding.
