I am starting to get concerned with what to wear under my dress.
I don’t plan on wearing a bra because I don’t think I need one with my dress – but I am also worried that I will feel weird without one.
Also, I usually wear shorts under my dresses to feel more comfortable and to not have to worry about people seeing up my dress.
I feel like I am going to need more under my wedding dress than just underwear… any advice?

it all depends on your type of dress, venue/weather, and personal style. I had a tea-length dress with an open back and full petticoat on the beach in Mexico in July so I wore the minimum possible underneath that sucker to stay as cool & not-sweaty as possible. The petticoat helped me feel very covered anyway… Most dresses aren’t built to wear with bra’s anyway so that’s probably a good decision. I was literally wearing nothing but some cotton undies….
What does your dress look like? When/where are you getting married? I would recommend wearing some hipster boy-short undies if you’d feel more comfy but those aren’t too practical with many wedding dresses. If it’s a long gown or even tea-length you don’t need to worry about anyone seeing anything unles you get really drunk & fall upside down or something.. =)

It’s a long ball gown. I’m not so worried about people seeing anything, but since I usually wear something under my dresses I think that I would feel more comfortable if I did.
My wedding is June 28 so it will be very hot. I am also worried about chaffing if I don’t wear shorts of some kind.

Waiting for my final fitting but probably just underwear. Everything is pretty tight and secure, definitely wont be needing a bra! If you are worring about chaffing use baby powder 🙂

Originally I wanted to go commando BUT after 2 alterations appointments I realized that is NEVER happening, I seriously was sweating so bad SO I decided to use a strapless all-in-one body piece with a boned bustier.

Also kinda depends on you plans for the night 😉 fi has always fancied the idea of helping me outta my dress so that played into my decision. I found a pretty feminine garter slip at vs in white that worked perfectly under my dress.
Just a thought. 🙂

I just wore regular underwear and had cups sewn into my dress. Just keep in mind you’re probably going to need help getting into your dress, so don’t wear anything you’ll be embarassed about, haha.

i wore solid white cotton bikini briefs, that’s it.
i had cups swen in the dress so i didn’t need a bra.
but as PPs said, it depends on your dress.

I am not wearing a bra, but will be wearing those body shapers that go from right under the bust to mid thigh.

I’ll be wearing a ballgown and the top is already really tight, so I’m just having cups sewn in, and I got the Victoria’s Secret ‘Bride’ undies to wear. I’ve had those babies for months so I’m excited to finally wear them next month. 😛

shapewear is going to be uncomfortable :/ why not just go for sexy little undies?
