I have a little over 6 months before the big day. I really want to tone up and lose 5-10 lbs. I am 5’9 152 lbs. I run and use the elliptical. But i think i should add arm workouts, squats and situps. I am definitely not one for calorie counting.
What are you doing? What has been most successful for you?

I am hoping to lose 5-10 pounds between now and the wedding. I just have a bit of excess weight and will look lovely and trim if I drop 5-10.
I suck at exercising, so I will start by trying to make healthier food choices and try to manage my portions. I have done meal plans before and learned some stuff from them that help guide my food decisions.
I will TRY to do some workouts over the winter with the Kinect using the Your Shape : Fitness Evolved game and Dance Central for a little more fun! It’s so freaking cold up here, there’s no way I can go jogging over the winter.
If I am finding it a little hard to get my body where I want it, I will start seeing a personal trainer 3 times a week the 2 months prior to the wedding.
That should do it, I hope.

I’d love to lose 40 lbs and get down in the 120s, but right now I’d settle for not feeling like a land whale 🙁

All I want is a flat stomach…the rest I am pretty happy with. I would like to lost about 6 lbs or so and that should smooth out the midsection quite nicely. I plan to count calories because I hate feeling deprived! So this way I can still eat “junk” on occasion, but still be on my diet as long as I eat within my designated caloric goals.
I also plan to squeeze in some extra cardio bursts (jumping jacks or jump rope) at home on top of my regular fitness routine

@Milk and Honey: Yay, I’m one day before you!! I’ve lost 20 pounds since spring and hope to lose 10 more. I have an elliptical at home and some DVDs…I really want to work on upper body for the dress.
ETA: Oh, I use the Fitocracy app to log in my workouts…it’s like a game in that you earn points and level up the more you exercise. I also use the Lose It app to track my calories, although I’ve been slacking lately, lol.

@miss_n_hope: You just reminded me that i have a jump-rope, I’m on my elliptical right now, but I think I’ll give it a shot when I am done. Goal: 1 minute.

I’d like to lose about 15lbs and get back down to 120.
Fiance and I have started running together. I used to be an avid runner, like 7-8k 5-6 days a week, until I went back to school and didn’t have time for it anymore (hence the 15lbs I have to lose), so now that I’m done school I’m getting back into it and couldn’t be happier about it.
I’d also like to get back into pilates or yoga to tone the rest of my body up. Fiance is trying to get me to go to the gym with him, but I’ve never been big on gyms, I don’t know why.
I’m also contemplating cutting out all wheat products to see if that helps eliminate the bloating/cramping feelings I’ve been dealing with the past few months. I’m pretty sure it would also help flatten my stomach.

I started out doing some 10 minute videos from FitSugar, then moved on to 30 Day Shred 5x a week.
For the wedding, I just wanted to tone up my arms. In general, I’d like to swap out the extra fat I’ve been putting on for muscle. I don’t do calorie counting or diets. I like food too much.
I like 30DS more than I thought I would. It’s quick, only requires a set of 5lb weights, but I can tell that it’s changing. I just finished week 4 (day 20). I’m doing each level for 10 days (2 5-day segments) and then moving on before going back to level 1.

I’m 5’9″ and 176. Not so long ago I was 150 and running marathons. Then I got a nasty injury AND started grad school while working part time. It was soooooo easy to pack on these pounds (and embarrassing…)
School is over soon and I’m able to get about 5 miles in when running, but it’s nowhere close to where I was. Also, I’m lucky if I have time to run twice a week.
School is almost over though!
So my goal….realistically 160 pounds and running 15-20 miles/week.

I am the laziest person I’ve ever met so I’m really lucky I inherited good genes. I don’t think I need to lose weight per se, but I want to tone up. I will definitely procrastinate this goal for another year haha.

I have 3 months until my big day. I don’t really have a set number, I’d just like to lose some weight. I’d really like to tone up my arms for my strapless dress so I’ve been lifting weights 4x/week.

I would like to lose 15 pounds within the next 2-3 months (the wedding is 7 months away). I have developed a mysterious neurological condition that has left me weak on one side like a stroke, and I don’t have the strength and endurance for cardio. Which is why I gained the weight.
I’m in physical therapy twice a week, but it’s not enough to drop any lbs. I’m really depressed because had I known my recovery would take so long, I would have gotten a different style dress; one that wasn’t built for a size 0-2.
I’m hoping I can control my weight with food and some small workouts at home, but so far nothing has helped. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it!

I don’t need to lose weight (I’m 5’3, 112 lbs) but I do need to tone up! I’m so bad about working out even though I know I should. One of my BM’s is making me a “Sweating for the Wedding” tank top so I’m hoping it will be some motivation haha
