Making table number holders – we’re finishing up spraypainting some model motorcycles, need to drill holdes in them and cut/twist/insert the wire that will hold up the table numbers!  It’s surprisingly fun, I’m like spraypainting LoL.

Ordering/making vintage hollowed out books for bridal party presents.  I’m so excited about this right now, FI came up with the idea for his guys and let me steal it for my girls and guys too!!  Currently in the process of looking up meaningful books for each person.

I’ve got a lot more I should be doing, but those are what we’re working on at the moment!

I am currently transforming the unused spare bedroom across from ours into my very own walk-in closet/dressing room/makeup room. I found cool ideas for “pipe shelving” on Pinterest and have already built and set up those. I need to just find curtains, an area rug, some kind of vanity/table thing for makeup and a small bench to go in the center of the room. Also I need to paint my dresser white. Oh and move the lighting from the corner to the center of the room…. hahhaa!

I have a bunch of DIY projects going on right now. I don’t really know what happened. One morning I was watching a show on HGTV and ever since then I’ve been going crazy with the DIY stuff. I’m reupholstering a living room chair (it was taking forever and getting on my nerves, so I took a week long break from it.) I might finish it today. I have also completed tons of little projects, but I can’t stop. I keep looking for other things I can do. I’m driving DH crazy. The project that I’m working on now is painting our wooden knife block and spice rack super bright colors because our kitchen has absolutely NO color in it whatsoever.

@tmsing:  Ugh, I live in a rental too, so I feel like there aren’t many options. Luckily, my kitchen has beautiful granite countertops. Just has boring cabinets and I’ve not put anything colorful in there since we’ve been here. The knife block and spice rack turned out quite nice =)

DIY and crafting is super fun! I just made this wreath for the door:

Next projects are handmade cards, wine cork placecard holders for the wedding, and some cute ribbon headbands!

I JUST finished making this mirror.  It was a super ugly wood color so I painted it white and added the shells.  I made it upside down though 🙁 (shells were supposed to be on the bottom right instead of top left) so I’m pretty bummed but DH says it still looks good.

I’m working on these.  They are the Sailor Jerry labels from the rum bottles in frames. The frames were a nasty looking brown so I painted them white and that takes FOREVER!  We have two more labels now for the other side of the wall (left hand side of the picture) but we need one more.  DH and his buddies LOVE this DIY project :)! (They stand out more in person and it doesn’t look so empty up there normally!)

Oh, and the little olive oil bottle on the counter is a re-purposed Kraken bottle we did a few months back!

@tmsing:  I painted our apartment’s kitchen and it makes a world of difference! Only took a gallon of paint and a day so we’re fine painting it back afterward.  I would look into it if you’re allowed to paint!
