    I’m ridiculous is what I am. I’m over weight and would like to lose 20lbs or so.  However, I do everything I can do squash this from actually happening. I eat 1 meal a day and that’s it. It’s usually healthy, but huge. So my body thinks I’m starving it and doesn’t allow me to lose the pounds. Obviously I know I’m being counter productive, as I just typed it, but I have been doing this for so long I can’t seem to break the habit. I have tried but by the 3rd or 4th day I have given up.

    I am trying to lose some weight so I am eating three moderate meals with a snack in between breakfast and lunch and another one between lunch and dinner.

    I eat at least 3 full meals a day. I also snack a few times a day. I have a mid morning snack, a mid afternoon snack and a snack a little while after I get home (before dinner). I eat healthy about 75% of the time but my unhealthy is not that bad – things like a bag of chips every once in a while or a piece of chocolate. I am mostly happy with my eating habits!

    I eat 3 meals per day, i almost always have a snack before bed, and maybe 1/3 of the time i have a mid-afternoon snack. I always have a healthy breakfast, my lunch is about 50/50 healthy, my afternoon snack (if any) is usually healthy, but my dinners are usually not and my pre-bed snack never is (usually ice cream). 

    I could do much much much much better.

    I try try try to eat healthy all the time.  It’s tough when I’ve had a super hard day at work and the FH comes home and wants dinner – pizza is just so much easier to order than to make something.  lol.

    VERY healthy eating habits. We believe in moderation. We eat guilty pleasures (pizza, fried chicken, etc), but hardly ever, maybe once a month.

    We always have breakfast together (eggs, cereal, oatmeal, fruits, etc)

    Then at 10am I usually have a small snack (a fruit, granola bar, oatmeal, etc)

    Lunch at noon

    Snack at 3pm (some crackers, a pudding, fruit, etc)

    Dinner usually around 7pmish.

    Husband is not a sweets fan so we hardly ever have dessert.

    I eat 3 healthy meals a day, don’t snack and am happy with my eating habits.

    I’ve always been able to resist office temptations because I don’t like sweets! And Darling Husband and I cook a lot at home since we’re trying to save $, so that is ultimately healthier than eating out or takeout. We eat plenty of fruits and veggies and mix up our protiens. Always whole grain everything.

    I just started a program through my company called Naturally Slim. It teaches you to eat when your hungry and stop when you’re full.. Lately I only need to eat twice a day, usually around 11 and then dinner at about 6:30.. If anyone wants to know more PM me, I’d be happy to share what I’ve learned! I’ve lost 6lbs in the last week and a half..

    People who don’t like sweets fascinate me hehe.  I will eat dessert no matter how full I am.  Other than my sweet tooth, I think I eat fairly healthy compared to most people.

    Breakfast: Usually fruit and an english muffin with honey.

    Lunch: Fruit, Leftovers from last night’s meal/or a wrap/sandwich.

    Dinner: We 95% of the time have dinner at home. Always made from scratch and I always make it with whole grains and veggies. The other 5% is eating at Future Father-In-Law house or my aunt and uncle’s.

    Snack: Sometimes if we have dinner early, I’ll have a bowl of popcorn later in the evening. I generally try not to eat past 8pm.

    During the week, I eat three meals a day, and usually have a snack when I get home from work. I eat pretty healthy during the week, unless we go out to dinner. Yogurt for breakfast, salad or soup for lunch with a piece of fruit, maybe a small bag of baked chips. I’m always RAVENOUS when I get home, so that’s probably when I do my most unhealthy eating. On the weekends, I’m much more of a grazer; probably only eat one “real” meal” a day.

    I have always heard that the best way to eat a healthy diet and avoid overeating is to never allow yourself to get hungry.  I eat 3 meals a day, but also snack between meals.  I also try to avoid carbs during the day (usually just breakfast and/or dinner) because I notice that a carb-y lunch (i.e. sandwich) makes me REALLY tired in the afternoons.  Sometimes I feel unsatisfied after lunch, so I will have a piece of dark chocolate (I like the Dove Promises – perfect size) to signal my brain that lunch is over (this usually happens 1-2x/week).

    This is a pretty typical day for me:

    • Breakfast (around 8:30/9:00 am) – 2 hardboiled eggs OR lowfat cottage cheese with fruit or tomatoes OR oatmeal with dried fruit OR fruit smoothie with yogurt, coffee, vitamin
    • Snack (around 11:00) – about a dozen almonds
    • Lunch (around 1:00 pm) – soup OR salad with protein (beans, edamame, chicken, tuna salad)
    • Snack (around 3:30 pm) – some crackers OR string cheese OR vegetables and hummus
    • Dinner (around 8:00 pm) – usually some sort of grilled meat (chicken, fish, pork tenderloin) + steamed vegetable + rice/sweet potato OR stir fry (my husband is a stir fry friend)

    I eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch everyday, both are healthy.  I cook 4-5 nights a week, and I always cook from scratch with tons of veggies and lean proteins, so that is healthy too.  I usually try to order semi-healthy things when we go out to eat.  My downfall is (1) chocolate (hersheys nuggets. mmm) and (2) wine.  I like to drink a few glasses a night. 

    Breakfast: Egg white frittata (muffin size) with spinach, zucchini, peppers, diced ham, and feta.  Latte with skim milk and 2 splenda.

    Lunch: Salad with spring mix, spinach, cucumber, zucchini, peppers, mushrooms, carrots, kidney beans, and light italian dressing.

    Dinner: obviously varies, but lots of veggies and a lean protein most of the time. Usually avoid carbs later in the day, but sometimes we’ll have whole wheat pasta/brown rice.

    Snacks: a few chocolate nuggets (maybe 3-5) after dinner and occasionally carrots and laughing cow cheese during the day if I get hungry in between meals.

    So it seems like the 3-4 bottles of wine I drink a week are doing me in. damn.
