Well, I was married last fall but we gave our guests 6” orchard fresh apple pies as their favors. To say they were a hit would be an understatement.

I wanted to do candy/caramel apples as our favors too but I couldn’t justify spending $5 per apple and I had no patience to make them few days before our wedding.

So! I am DIY’ing with hot cocoa. I am putting the powder mix into a cone shaped bag, topping with marshmallows & tying a note around it saying “Our Warmest Thanks”. The cone bag will have a customized label of our names & wedding date.

Also, I am incooperating apples by having apple cider as a welcome drink and apple wedges with caramel sauce served before we cut the cake. ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, I want to do candy apples. What I want and what I can afford are two different things, because I haven’t looked into costs just yet. I’m a little scared lol  I kind of don’t want to give something that is a keepsake, because I figured it’s just another thing people have to hoard in their homes. PLUS our thank you cards are going to be a postcard with our picture, so that counts as a keepsake of sorts.

I really like the idea of the jelly jars, and apple pie! I don’t know what to do. I just love so many things about fall, it’s so hard to choose!

For the actual wedding favors, I am doing a little favor box with chocolate heart mendiants from a local chocolatier…but to tie in the fall for our October wedding, we are putting out mason jars full of maple flavored lollipops (they come in the shape of maple leafs, too) so our guests can help themselves. ๐Ÿ™‚

We’re not really doing a fall-themed thing, but the custom beer my fiance is brewing for the reception is going to be an Oktoberfest style. He wants to call it Novemberfest! (I’m not so sure about that.)

@CinderellaSoon:  We are doing caramel apples and ordering from this site I think – it’s like $2 an apple after shipping.  I am ordering some today to try
