My dad and I are both huge Disney fanatics, so it was only right that we choose a Disney song. We will be dancing to “When You Wish Upon a Star.” 🙂

What a wonderful world. My dad picked it, it was between that and somewhere over the rainbow. Both make me cry!

@future_mrs_ak:  I will be dancing to that song with my father as well! He is a HUGE Bruce Springsteen fan and I thought it would be perfect.

My Father/Daughter dance song was “Carolina in My Mind” by James Taylor.  Why you ask?  A year and a half ago, I moved to New York from North Carolina.  Of course, when I think of gong home to North Carolina, I think about going to see my Mom and Dad.  I am an only child, so getting over the move (even though I was with my now husband) was pretty challenging!  Also, I am an alumni of UNC Chapel Hill and this is a song that everyone that went to UNC loves!  I hope you don’t think that’s too cliche! 🙂

We danced to “Isn’t She Lovely?” By Stevie Wonder. My dad isnt a real sappy guy and we both hate country music. He actually picked the song.  I loved it

We did a simple rumba to “To Sir, With Love” from the movie. It was great 🙂

@FoxyBride14:  I cry way too much when I hear ‘I Loved her First” and even though I think it has some really nice lines, there are some that just don’t seem to fit for me and so I don’t think we’ll end up using it even though I used to want to. My dad really doesn’t see the wedding as ‘losing me’ or ‘giving me away’ so it’s hard to find a good father/daughter song since a lot of them have that sentiment. I looked up that Nancy Sinatra song and I really love it. I’m glad to hear a song I like from a daughter’s perspective (: Thanks for posting it!

I can’t believe no one is using Chrisette Michelle or Beyonce’s dad songs! I’m I crazy for thinking they are the best?

Chrisette Michelle – Your Joy

Beyonce – Daddy

I didn’t want a typical song either or country or anything too sappy. We danced to ‘Nothing Can Change This Love” by Sam Cooke.  We did walk down the isle to “Walk With You” by Edwin McCain and that song is phenomenal.  Makes me cry.
