Hands Down- shortbread! It’s the only time of the year that I make it. Even better, shortbread with a triangle of Toblerone baked on top.

It’s also tradition in our family to make butter tarts.

They aren’t a baked good, but Oreo balls make a HUGE impact.  They are a pain in a** to make, which is why I only do it once or twice a year.

1 package of regular oreos

1 package of cream cheese.

Put the oreos in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin to crush them in to oreo “dust”. Mix thoroughly with a package of cream and form into little balls.  I put mine in the freezer for a few mins, but you don’t have too.  Melt chocolate and dip them, and decorate how you like.  I like to use white and milk chocolate and splatter the opposite on the dipped ball.

Seriously the best treat ever and they taste better than cake pops!

I don’t discriminate against baked goods. I love any holiday cookies really. My mom makes these cranberry orange cookies with toasted coconut and wow they are awesome.

@Mrs.ChubbyBunny: Haha, I feel the same way! No discrimination here! But I also really love those candy cane ones. They are just so tasty.

Also, I think that this thread should come with a plate of Christmas cookies because I am craving some now!

@parasol:  I agree!  A plate of Christmas cookies would be awesome right now!!  🙂  For whatever reason, my mom craved Christmas cookies when she was pregnant with me (she craved ice cubes with my sister?!?).  I’m blaming my current craving on my in utero-self!!

@mwitter80: Thanks for posting the recipe. I just bookmarked them. I hate cream cheese but I know most people love it so I will make them for after the Christmas pageant 🙂
