I am loving fresh berries right now.  It’s so hard to have them because they go bad so quickly so you have to remember to eat them every day.

I also love Kashi or Fiber One bars for some additional fiber.

Oh love this post…I have a lot of snack options because I love to eat!! But still am a health-nut ๐Ÿ™‚

1. all natural peanut putter on Triscuits

2. Greek yogurt with a little honey (for taste) and a couple almonds for crunch

3. Scoop of vanilla protein powder, ice, strawberries and water blended for a delicious shake

4. Veggies and hummus or Laughing Cow light cheese

5. Pop your own popcorn and season with a little garlic salt or cinnamon

6. Light string cheese

7. Apple slices dipped in cottage cheese

8. Multigrain crackers with smoked salmon or imitation crab

9. Kashi granola bars

10. Flaxseed tortilla chips and salsa

Lately I have been all about blueberries. You can eat large amounts with low calorie count.

Avocados ! Don’t be afraid of them ! The fat in them is a healthy fat and they are super healthy for you. Mash your own, add a bit of salt, pepper and I like to add a touch of tobasco, and spread on 12 grain toast. Works as a meal rather then a snack.

I’m all about the fat free Greek yogurt with a tablespoon of honey and some berries thrown in. Also, if you don’t like Greek yogurt, regular yogurt thrown in the freezer is a suprisingly good snack (think Pink Berry DIY).

If I’m craving savory, I slice up a cucumber and drizzle it with a little olive oil and vinegar and a splash of lime. It’s tangy, crunchy, and super tasty.

I read someplace that snacking on an apple will also help quell your appetite. This study found that in two groups of people who ate identical meals, the group that had an apple at the end of the meal did not snack later on while the other group did (or something like that…I can post a link someplace if I can find it Tongue out). Plus, fibrous or firm fruits and veggies are good to munch on because they help remove plaque from your teeth and are full of antioxidants!

frozen grapes!!!!!!!!!! just throw them in a plastic container and into the freezer! they keep good for longer and they are soooooooooo delicious!

I LOVE berries! Frozen berries are a nice cold treat and they are less expensive than fresh berries. I also love Craisins, string cheese, banana peppers, green peppers w/ light ranch, and chedder flavored rice crisps. ๐Ÿ™‚

A couple of pieces of dark chocolate (I’m currently love Trader Joe’s dark chocolate callets) go a long way and are chock full of antioxidants!
