bird cage card boxes and thumb print trees. I know they are both used soooooooooo often but I love them and am really fighting my self to come up with something more creative.

@SweetHoneyBee:  I know there are a ton of cute ones, and I really am a sucker for anything involving stamp pads. The problem is that 2 of my three friends who got married last summer have them and I would hate to think I am copying them or something. I was looking at the other ‘thumb print’ Ideas like the baloons and bikes and things, eh… Im not in love with them. We will most likely end up going with some version of our own ‘quaker’ wedding certificate for people to sign, or maybe flags? Who knows, I haven’t come up with anything brilliant yet.

Edit to include: Cupcakes! I totally love cupcakes!!! Who doesn’t love cupcakes… but again… common.

@SweetHoneyBee:  that is an interesting concept, I am totally going to look in to that! Thanks! The only semi brilliant idea I have come up with so far is to sew prayer flags (which look rather much like bunting if we are on the over used category) And have guests write their wishes or prayers on them and we could hang  them outside in our garden. The downfall being that whatever marker they used would be subjected to wind, rain, snow, ice, sun, and who knows what else, so it probably woudln’t last long.

I’m totally a sucker for paper lanterns. They just scream “summer” to me.

@Mrs.LemonDrop:  Same here! I definitely plan on incorporating them in my Labor Day weekend wedding – it feels like the perfect, last chance way to celebrate summer!

I’m kind of a sucker for those “heart drawn in the sand on a beach” photos.  Also, balloons during an engagement shoot.  I know, I’m lame.

@Jenlon:  Oh, I love colored wedding shoes too!!

I also love brides carrying fresh flowers. Button/felt/brooch bouquets are super cool, but there’s something about a bouquet of real flowers that seems so romantic to me. (Funny, because I am generally NOT a super sentimental or romantic person!)

Ooh! My favorite cliche: The peacock wedding- I’m using a lot of will power and not doing it, but these colors are just sooo pretty together I can’t blame anyone else for using them
