We get to bring in the alcohol at our venue, and I just read another post of a similar situation (hi kate 169!). I have an early plan for what i’ll be bringing in… but i thought it couldn’t hurt to take a poll! I don’t drink beer at all and neither does Fiance so we could use more help in this area. I do love wine but I tend towards sweeter wines and I’m not sure how typical that is. I was thinking about maybe bud light and sam adams for beer, and reisling, red zin, and merlot for reds. Vote for your favorites so I can see what most people like to drink!

For wine I like merlot and pinot grigio. I’m Canadian so none of my beer options were there 😛

oo i forgot about pinot grigio but i’m out of poll options anyways haha.

I’m useless when it comes to beer. I just don’t like it. In fact, if you see me with a beer, its a corona, and that just means I’ve had too much of the hard stuff but I’d like to keep drinking 🙂
But reisling is my FAVORITE wine. Depending on the type. I like dry reislings because they’re not too sweet.

I’m a sauv blanc and cab sauv girl. (white in the spring/summer, red in the fall/winter)
As for beer, none of my “faves” are on there. If I’m only having a few beers, I drink a speciality beer like an IPA or wheat beer. But if I’m drinking beer heavily at a BBQ or tailgate or something, I stick with Miller Lite or Heineken Light.

Oh man I didn’t vote on the beers. I don’t like any of those, sorry. I prefer wheat beers or microbrews. However, everybody I know digs Bud Light or Bud Select. Always a safe bet. BUT, St. Louisians are HUUUGE on their AB products.
As far as wine, I like sauvignon blancs (the good ones–the cheap ones taste like cooking wine), reinheissens, and gewurtzdraminers (i know i spelled that wrong). However, I won’t be a pain to you…out of the choices, I’d prefer the chardonnay or the white zin.
But, I think if you go with a lager/ale type beer (like sam adams) and a lighter beer like bud light, you’ll have covered the beers. If you stick with basic whites like reisling and reds like merlot or cabernet, I think your bases are covered.

Im a Pinot Noir girl (Robert Mondavi Private Reserve is my all time fave) and I really love the Coppola Rosso. I dont like white wine (i particularly despise chardonnay. It tastes like dirt to me, but its really the oak supposedly) but I do enjoy pinot grigio here and there. And for beers, I like a lot of em! Miler Lite, Corona, Yuengling, Sammy Adams, specialty beers. Yummm beeeer. Fave is a heffeweisen or Blue Moon though

@Ottawa Same here-love pinot grigio and merlot!
Don’t care for Chardonnay or very dry wines (Blackstone Merlot is my favorite).
Love Labatt Blue, Sam Adams Lager, Yuengling (regional-one of the most popular beers in the area), Stella Artois…not a fan of Miller, Coors, Bud and other light beers.

Martini and Rossi or Blue Moon!

For wine I like Shiraz for Red and Sauvugnon Blanc for white. For beer, I like Corona.

My favorite white is pinot grigio and my favorite red is malbec.
I’m not a fan of any of the beers that you listed. My favorite “everyday” beer is Yuengling Lager. There are actually WAY better beers than that, but Yuengling is cheap, drinkable and available everywhere (around here, anyway).

Note: I realize that your “favorite” beers prob wont be on there but I kind of meant favorite of the cheaper beers… we can’t really afford to get really good beers 🙂
@ejs- i like the g
ones too. Although I think they’re almost interchangeable with reisling. I just have no clue how to spell or google it so I left it out haha

i am a cab, reisling, and miller lite girl

Coors Light, all the way.
But, I am a huge fan of Moscato wines now. We are using a Moscato D’Asti in lieu of Champagne.
