As the title says, what are your favourite exercises that are easy or effortless?
I love sitting on an exercise ball & bouncing while watching TV. I discovered how effortless it was when I started doing it last night watching the Super Bowl, when all the chairs facing the TV were taken. I did it for a whole hour (taking into account breaks when I got up to get something)!
So share your favourites!

Easy exercise? If it’s effortless, I don’t really consider it exercise.
I suppose I consider anything low impact easy, but I’m still working. Examples are yoga and barre. No strain, still sweating.

Easy exercise. Best oxymoron of the day.

I echo the above – if it’s easy i dont consider it ‘proper exercise’ I have a stepometer but i dont consider that to be exercise as it’s just walking.
However, i have days where i vary what i do at the gym so will prefer one session to another.. for example, i find the cross trainer more exhausting than the treadmill, even though i burn more on the treadmill in a shorter amount of time. In your terms the treadmill is ‘easier’ Some days, i will split – so do half my time on the treadmill and half on cross trainer.
I find swimming ‘easy’ we have a pool so every other day, i go to gym then will go for a 15 min swim to cool down / stretch and unwind. I dont really feel like i’m doing exercise but it’s a great way to finish a session.

Execising my fingers while typing this and exercising my eyeballs by watching TV are both pretty awesome.

Jacqui90: exerising my thumbs.. on the console remote. I can do it for hours and hours! Lol
On a serioys not I HATE EXERCISE and love food. So im fat. Tge only exercise i can stand us yoga and swimming but i hate being in a swimsuit and the smell and the effect on my hair and skin… so i dont really go. And yoga i go but i should really go A LOT more for it to have any weight loss effect, and stich my mouth shut.

Jacqui90: It’s not exercise if it’s effortless…
I consider exercise easy if I can do it at home with minimal equipment because it doesn’t require the extra effort of driving to the gym. Lately I have been doing HIIT work outs on my stationery bike and doing T25 work outs.

Easy excercise is walking for me. I will go to the mall/ shops and wander for a couple of hours and get more than a few thousand steps up. But whilst this is good for me it does not give much of a calorie burn.
I guess other fave is stationary cycle, as you are sitting!
I don’t think sitting and bouncing on the excercise ball would do anything, to be honest 🙁

The only thing I can think of is walking. Walk a few miles with headphones. easy and effective.

retrometro: MrsBeck: Yeah maybe effortless was the wrong word. What I mean is it’s so easy to get started and do, it almost feels effortless.
The bouncing on the exercise ball, I just started doing as something to do while watching the game since I didn’t want to just sit and look at my phone! Of course by the end of it I was tired, sore and had worked up a bit of a sweat!

Olivepepper: It does a little, not as much as going to the gym or running of course!

I do squats while I’m waiting for the gas to pump. I try to be subtle if there’s lots of people around, but mission Beyoncé booty stops for nobody.

liaeona: Hahahah mission Beyonce booty! I do squats in the bathroom at work while I’m washing my hands and in the work kitchen while I’m waiting for my water cup to fill! It’s a small office so at this point everyone knows I do it so I don’t even try to hide it anymore.
Jacqui90: Unfortunately, all of the exercises that I have found to be easy have had almost no effect on my body. Walking is good for you but I would rather do a high intensity work out than walk for the amount of time needed to get the same benefits. I suppose sitting on an exercise ball is slightly better than sitting on the couch but I don’t consider it exercise.

Jacqui90: That. Is not. Exercise.

I definitely wouldn’t call that exercise. The most “effortless” form of exercise I’ve ever tried was a hip hop dance class my gym has. It was fun! I work out regularly and lift weights though so I imagine if you’re newer to exercise (just guessing since you say you broke a sweat bouncing on a stability ball…) it might be a more challenging workout to you. Still fun though and would burn more calories!
If you want to work out while you watch tv, I’d suggest push ups, sit ups, burpees, squats, lunges, and maybe adding a kettlebell or some Dumbbells!
