lauraspencer : the first two episodes put a smile on my face, I only played dnd for about a year but I had a lot of fun with it
My ex fiancé was dungeon master and he created this battle that was supposed to take an hour or so. The tank kicked a door open to the villain, I shot my arrow around the tank, and I killed the villain instantly. It was over in seconds 😆😆
I didn’t play for long but I have a lot of memories of the game nights that we had

No Such Thing As A Fish – This is from the researchers behind QI. Each week they get together and discuss their favourite fact they discovered during the week.
Surprisingly Awesome – I really wish this one had more episodes! It’s another ‘random knowledge’ podcast where the hosts discover why a rather boring thing (like broccoli or glue) is actually pretty awesome.

personaperson : I came into this thread to mention The Bright Sessions; I just started listening a few days ago, and now I’m totally bingeing it. Have you read The Infinite Noise? I have it on hold from the library and started The Bright Sessions in the meantime 🙂
OP, to answer the original question, The Bright Sessions, My Favorite Murder, Household Name, This Podcast Will Kill You, This American Life, In The Dark, Uncover, Ravin’ Girls (v niche podcast about my favorite book series, The Raven Cycle), (I go back and forth on) Welcome to Night Vale, Radiolab, The Daily, Last Podcast on the Left.

Stuff you Should Know- two dudes talk about different interesting topics
That One Time I Was Abducted By Aliens- two hilarious women discuss conspiracies, aliens and spooky shit
This is Love- Phoebe Judge discusses short real life love stories

Also S Town was amazing, I binged it in an entire day!

Your Last Meal with Rachel Belle – hands down my favorite podcast! She is an amazing interviewer. She interviews celebrities about what they would want their last meal to be and why. Then does a deep dive on the culture/history of some of the components of their last meal. It’s so engaging.
Second would probably be Welcome to Night Vale. It’s a creepy and weird story about a fictional town from the perspective of the local radio host, and it’s oddly entertaining.

WillowBee33 : I also listen at work. I have different “levels” for different tasks. I listen to mindless comedy type ones when I know I won’t catch all of it and slightly more serious ones for more mindless tasks.
I save my favorite ones for things like cleaning and meal prep so I make sure to catch all of it

WillowBee33 : housework! I find I LOOK for more housework so i can finish my podcast haha!
Some of my current faves:
Australian – q&a (current affairs), she’s on the money (finance tips) , conversations (amazing interviews with incredible people), abc comedy presents (recordings of stand ups, hit and miss depending on the comic)
American – broken: Jeffrey Epstein (chilling series about epstein) the joe Rogan experience (classic) oprah super soul conversations (current fave – interviews exploring spirituality and psychology) it could happen here (how America could theoretically enter civil war)

Table Manners – Jessie Ware and her mother invite celebrities, authors, politicians etc to have dinner with them. Really interesting and hilarious.
The High Low – great for current affairs, book recommendations, popular culture discussions.
Sh*gged, Married, Annoyed – a comedian and his wife discuss life. Laugh out loud – honestly great easy listening.
Guilty Feminist – does what it says on the tin.

Just so you know Crime Junkie is being sued for plagiarism. They steal from other podcasts and other sources as well. sequinhat :

King Falls AM – a radio show where the towns people call in about wierd things happening
Wolf 359- I was late to the party for this but it’s hilarious and sad and very binge worthy.
