unicornphish:  the worst part of adulting is having to budget and make smart money decisions! As a teen and in undergrad I would save and spend on traveling around the world. Now I will graduate law school and have to pay student loans, save, and invest smartly (ugh).

Most: Cooking. I LOVE to cook, especially for large groups of people.

Meh: budgeting! I’m awful with moneyand I have been working in it and learning a lot lately. I’m starting to enjoy seeing the fruits of my labor but it’s hard!

Favorite- Being able to spend however much money I want at an arcade, lol. Getting to choose what I want to eat. Being able to go wherever I want to go, watch whatever I want, go to bed whenever I want, decorate however I want, etc.

Least Favorite- Managing money. Running errands. Cooking. Having to practice self-discipline. Having to do annoying adult things like make phone calls, fill out forms, do taxes, research and plan everything I do from taking trips to buying a car, etc.

mrspereira:  To build credit, you can get a credit card and start using it for regular purchases, but pay it immediately, so you don’t have to pay interest. I’ve gotten hundreds of dollars cash back and gotten hundreds off plane tickets from my rewards with my credit cards just in the last couple of years because I put just about everything on them, and pay it all off before they’re even due. This helps my credit score, too. You can also take out a loan you don’t need that doesn’t charge interest until after a year, and pay it all off before you are charged. However, you HAVE to be responsible about it, or you could end up lowering your score and getting in debt.

Most favorite: Getting to decide what is for dinner. I love have the freedom to choose in the kitchen! And to be honest, we don’t go out very often and I get bored of the same old meat and three veg that is prolific in NZ. Like tonight- we’re having homemade chicken tikka salad with quinoa! Oh yum! Also, I love having a husband, that’s a very grown-up thing.

Least favorite: not spending all that I want because we’re paying off the house, trying to save and yeah….all the issues with being an adult with money. 🙁
