Well those are two of mine. I am getting back into cooking alot now and am bit terribly by the travel bug.
What as a newlywed are you into? Could it be interior design? Getting the nest picture perfect?
Sure, there’s no wedding to plan anymore (thank goodness!) but there’s alot going on with us! What’s your new passions?

I have gotten also back into cooking, and I have picked up knitting and crochet lately. I have also started volunteering at this amazing local organization. It’s so fun to have time to focus on this stuff, and not feel like I have a huge wedding to-do list every weekend!

I’m not married yet, but have not started the wedding planning process yet, either. I have started stamping/card making and Chinese waterbrush painting.

Sounds like we’re really busy ladies!
I am so stoked after seeing a new cooking show on of all channels, pbs, yesterday “Barbecue U”. I am getting the book next weekend for Darling Husband and we’re going to DVR the shows each week! Awesome bbq recipes (am originally from Memphis area and am bbq fiend!)
I am also wanting to learn the art of Cuban cuisine. On our trip to Key West we fell in love with the food at el Meson de Pepe in Mallory Square area. Awesome.
We’re also planning some larger trips in the future (back to Carribbean, maybe St. Lucia for a couples’ trip and either Turks and Caicos or Puerto Rico for a family trip (we’re parents) . It was funny. Last night we watched “Couples’ Retreat” and to add a bit of fun and nostalgia, we made our fave cocktail from Jamaica (we went in March 09) called the “dirty banana” while we watched that and then watched “Date Night” afterward (0ur date night in!)
Oh and yea we need to get some picture frames soon too! I need alot! As we have quite a few shelves to fill up. Also, I am going to slowly begin working on making our wedding album too…am sorta excited, our pro pics from the reception should be on the way too!

Well it’s new for us and we heart it too! Glad we love it! Didya see the Mint Julep bbq he did yesterday? T is good on the grill but we love that he can get new inspiration. I call it “grill-spiration”!
I am giddy w/excitement in cashing in one of our large giftcards a friend of ours (wonderful couple) gave us to Williams Sonoma. Can’t wait to see what they have and what we can get to use in the kitchen! Woo hoo!
I also love “the best thing I ever ate” show too! Saw how they made favorite cocktails today and am going to def try the Gin blossom soon! Anybody watch that one?
Sandra Lee semi-homemade is also a fave of mine and I have two of her cookbooks. She’s not new either, but I love her shortcuts!

We didn’t see BBQU last night but we do have his cookbook, and it’s supereasy directions and LOTS of pictures. We picked it up at GoodWill for $3. We love Simply Ming!

I LOVE cooking for my husband… It’s way more fun than making something for just me! Other things that occupy our time: working out every day, having friends over, traveling when we can… I am getting my horse ready for competition and I still catch up with girlfriends over coffee or happy hours.
It’s football season, so we’re watching that either in good ol College Station(whoop) or on TV. π We are excited for our shows to come back on, my husband is really ready for Bachelor Pad to be OVER.
My husband probably wishes more time was spent cleaning out the garage… π

It’s so fun to see everybody lovin’ life after the wedding! That’s the best part imho…the “after” part!
I’ll have to get Darling Husband to find the Simply Ming recipe too! I’m surprising him with a “rib rack” next weekend too.
Getting read this week to plan my ds (dear son)’s birthday party too! We couldn’t have it last weekend, b/c our precious dog passed away. We need some happy around here π
We’re planning next sunday maybe to head up to chattanooga and do what we were going to do over labor day btw also.

After the wedding, we’re working slowly but surely on our house, which needs a lot of, um, aesthetic improvement! I’ve also been reading a lot more; I missed that.
@Bellenga: I’m sorry about your dog. π

Thanks Mrs. O. Last weekend was super difficult, and it’s still hard knowing Simon is gone. Got a sympathy card from our vet, and that brought a few tears on friday.
I’m headed off to the pool in a bit. Yes, ours is still open! Reading Jimmy Buffet’s “A Salty Piece of Land” right now. Reading is another huge thing for me now too.
Our house is still a work in progress too. Furniture here, there and a sprinkling of bachelor “stuff” I need to find a place for (in the basement or at goodwill honestly speaking)!

We’re spending this year travelling before we make babies.
We drove to the states a few times this summer to spend cycling weekends around Whiteface, we are just back from a roadtrip in France/Spain and we’re planning our Christmas trip to Costa Rica as we speak. After that, it’s baby making, so we’ll slow down on travelling for a while, but we won’t stop completely.
I’ve always been a fan a cooking also. I started my own garden this summer to grow my own herbs and veggies; so most things we eat are homecooked and fresh from the garden.
Also working on decorating projects, one small thing at a time…
And (shame on me!!) I have yet to finish our wedding album – 8 months later, I know!
Oh, and we are both athletes, so we share a passion for sports: dance, karate, running, cycling…
So, very, very busy! On our “down time” we cuddle and watch movies at home.

We have date night at home too! We were childless one night this weekend (son went to spend the night w/a buddy) and watched our two movies, made steak, and drank wine and yep, made our favorite Jamaican mixed drink during “Couples’ Retreat”!
We’re older and not intentionally trying to baby-make, but are going to travel like mad when we have the chance! Darling Husband got a new job w/a new firm and financially it’s amazing, in this economic environment and earlier today I asked what he thought about us doing more travel and he’s totally “onboard” with it! Although we talk travel quite often.
Belize, Puerto Rico, and St. Lucia short list. I’d also love to visit France too, and the teeny principality of Monaco (gf went there and loved it!). She said it was very “007-ish” and was quite romantic for them (been married almost 15 yrs)!
