@lulu1234:  Gorgeous!

I love pears as long as thier in simple settings. I think it’s all about balance. I like simple shapes like rounds with more ornate settings and fancy shapes like pears in simple settings.

When I think of them I think of sadness. Tears, ya know.

I don’t care for pears, but that is me personally. They can be beautiful and I know several women with pears and their stones r in the larger size so they look better. I wanted timeless so I opted for round.

I am not personally a fan, but a girl on here has the most gorgeous pear shaped ring! I will try to find it for you. It totally changed my mind about them.

anyway, it’s your preference! If you like pear shape then go for it, it doesn’t matter that anyone else has to say ๐Ÿ™‚

i am a pear owner and i knew way before i became engaged that that was the stone for me. i completely agree with you in that everywhere i turn i see a princess or a round cut and it’s too common. i love mine and that you don’t see it often. i highly recommend the pear and it isn’t hard to wear at all as some people wonder.

I love pear shaped stones!!! I thought they were “young” and in style. Aren’t celebrities wearing them a lot these days? ๐Ÿ˜‰ The pear halo is my favorite.

@AlwaysSunny:  I completely agree about the setting making all the difference. of course the pear and marquise come with an 80’s pretext (their hayday) but then again the argument could be made that the cushion and princess will be in the same boat a few decades from now.

lots of rounds and cushions and princesses out there (don’t get me wrong, all gorgeous rings, just not my style). After a lot of searching my Fiance came across a beautiful pear solitaire and it worked miracles on my stubbier fingers. In My Humble Opinion, it is very elegant and will have plenty of staying power. if you love it, you always will. that’s what counts!

@soontobebe:  I know this is an old thread, but I have become obsessed with this ring!! I love pears and I love the way morganite looks in a pear with a halo. It’s the only shape I like with a halo. I just hope I get to pick out my own ring now haha

First off let me say I love all diamond shapes , I’m mean Hello..it’s a diamond ๐Ÿ™‚ haha but I absolutely Love pear shapes. I believe they are unique and you don’t see them often. But if your gut is telling you Princess Go With It…so what if alot ofpeople have them..You are the only one that has to look at your ring everyday …If you fall head over heels for a princess cut..Then that’s what I would go for ๐Ÿ™‚

@emmalyn:  I don’t blame you. That ring is gorgeous! I have a round pink tourmaline halo set in rose gold. I love it, but am too scared to wear the engagement ring around. I don’t want to scratch it or mess it up. I have started wearing the wedding band with a little diamond ring that my husband bought me before I had an official engagement ring. I don’t have to worry about it. ๐Ÿ™‚

I think they’re VERY pretty! But if princess is what you really want, get a princess!
