CallMeMrsG:  Sounds perfect to me! Anyone who is going to come and turn their nose up because you’re serving pizza can leave and go to a 5 star restaurant for some steak and lobster on their own tab.

CallMeMrsG:  I think pizza is a great idea!  We are also doing a low key rehearsal dinner since we are the same position as you guys as far as paying for everything (we also started planning before we were engaged to make sure we could afford we had enough time to save for everything!).  We are having the dinner at our house, and will be having bbq food, beer and wine!  Low key…fun..and food everyone likes is how we looked at it 🙂

We did a neighborhood clubhouse (not nearly as hip and modern as yours) and it was like $50 to rent. We did pizza, Chinese and beer. It was very easy since it was all takeout and it was a hit! Why do two fancy dinners back to back anyway?

My sister had hers at a different clubhouse, there was a pool (it was summer) and they did BBQ (like the pulled pork kind not burger) and it went over really well!

CallMeMrsG:  Great idea! Maybe you can have your future hubby’s friends throw him a “stock the bar” party for his bachelor party. The bring him wine, beer, hard liquor, etc. and you could use that for the rehearsal dinner!

I think that’s perfect! I would do beer/wine or a signature cocktail though. We’re doing something really casual for ours too – tacos and cocktails 😉

Sounds like way more than I would expect (which is awesome). We just had a bbq back at our place, although it was a super small rehersal. I think everyone was gone by 10pm.

CallMeMrsG:  for both the rehearsal and the weddinng we were like hmmm…what food do we like that would be crowd pleasers? we also had a mix of people with various diets/preferences and this stuff worked great for that!

For our wedding we did a made to order pasta station, a make your own taco bar and a salad bar. People LOVED it!
