We’re having 2 bands at our reception–a friend/local blues musician will open and a favorite 5-piece ragtime instrumental band will take over an hour and a half into the reception, during dinner. Neither really inspire dancing, unless you’re into swing (2nd band), but that’s the way we like it. We’re wanting more of a casual concert feel as it’s being held at an old civil war fort.
When we enter, we’ll go to our first dance (done by iPod and reception venue speakers, controlled by our musician friend). We like Sinatra, and the more modern stylings of Michael Buble. Then, we also like Louis Armstrong. We’re not really dancers, but we’re definitely music lovers. Also, my dad would rather not have a father-daughter dance as he’s embarrassed by things like that (it’s ok, I totally get it), but his mom really wants to get her mother-son dance. Hmm…what to do? What to dance to?
Please, let me know what you’re usig as your dance songs. Thanks!
