@Fanciful:  your ring is probably the prettiest ring I have seen to date.  I love the simplicity of the gold bands beneath the very ornate detailing with the diamonds.  It looks straight out of a fantasy novel and like it belongs to an elven princess.  I LOVE it!

@jennmariee:  i LOVE your ring. and the stupid comments and your brother suck (who says that? really?). i love vintage rings. i always wanted a vintage ring, ever since i was young. we hadn’t planned on taking the stone from FI’s grandmother’s ring. but when it was offered, i couldn’t say no. so we searched and searched for a setting that would suit it. and then we found what turned into the perfect ring.

and you can get something big and sparkly for fun. i’m gonna buy a bigger cushion cut cz and have it set. just for something different.

@Fanciful:  I would kill to have your ring. It is amazing! Wish I could find something like that without the cost of a ring designer making it. Beautiful!

I absolutely love my ring! It’s a Chrysoberyl It is unique and my Fiance and I designed it ourselves(I sent him pics of what I liked and he had it made)

I love the stone (I picked that out after a pretty extensive search) but it is also what I am insecure about.  People ask if it’s a diamond….or a Peridot. Nothing wrong with either~I just wanted something unique.

In the end, I know that it really doesn’t matter what people think.  I love my ring. My Fiance did a great job and I still can’t stop staring at it!!

I absolutely adore my ring – but it’s an illusion setting, and as much as I love it because it’s different and quite old-fashioned, I’m very aware that the illusion setting is to make the diamond look bigger,so I guess I’m always scared people will think ‘well clearly she’s trying to make it look like she has a bigger diamond/more money than she really does’.

I get super insecure about the engagement stone color. It’s about 1.25 carats and the halo makes it look bigger, but next to the other diamonds on the wedding band, it looks a little yellow – even brown in certain lighting. My husband wants to “upgrade” the stone to a more colorless stone at one of our anniversaries.

I also absolutely love my ring now, especially with the wedding band, but I wasnt crazy about the engagement ring setting. I did want a halo, but I wanted a cushion cut ring that sat a little higher on my finger. I love it though… I just have ring regret sometimes when we go to a jewelry store and I see the ring I once upon a time really wanted. I also wanted the center stone to be bigger and I get insecure because I still do, but since it wasnt, we opted for more bling on the wedding band.

I REALLY wish my ring photographed better – it is so pretty IRL, but always looks awkward when I try to give it a photo shoot Undecided

I do wish the difference between my side center and side stones was more pronounced. And originally, I wanted pave down the side – but Fiance doesn’t like that look. He just thinks the simple settings are more elegant.

He and I had this convo just yesterday at breakfast. He was playing wiht my ring and mentioned to me about how he knows I wish that it had “all that stuff down the side” – but that when I (originally) pointed this setting out he thought “perfect”, and figured he was good to go! The sound of my heart breaking just a little in that moment was practically audible!

It made me realize how much it meant to him to have picked out this ring for me – and, all nitpicking aside, how much it truly means to me for that very same reason.

@jdhall89:  I love, love, love your ring! I’m getting my 1 ct moissy soon and I *know* I’m going to feel the same way!! Awkward in the office because I am so young, and then outside of that I’ll be wanting a bigger stone :p I feel like I’m going to drive myself crazy!

@icanhearyousmile:  I think your set is beautiful!  I was soooo close to getting a sapphire and diamond wedding band.  Love your set!
