@ebarnes0:  I love the style of yours – I bet it sparkles in person!  And it looks great on you! He did a great job with no guidance though I get what you mean about input ๐Ÿ™‚

@alsgirl:  I love the swirl of yours – it’s very eye catching!  I’d definitely say play around with some sapphires in bands, I know I’ve seen some with a similar profile but if you don’t mind rocking a gap I bet it would look good with a straight band or two ๐Ÿ™‚

I love, LOVE the style and curved band of the ring. I wish it was bigger though. It is 0.6TCW and the centre stone is 0.4. The larger version of this ring at People’s I am in LOVE with!

That it is set too low. Sometimes I wish it were squished up a bit higher. But overall, I love my ring more than anything and am a very lucky lady not only with the ring but my awesome Darling Husband who gave it to me.

If I’m being honest, I think I’ve experienced a little bit of ‘shrinkage.’

I can’t really complain, though. Darling Husband did an *amazing* job picking up on the hints I was throwing his way. I really wanted a princess-cut diamond around a half-carat, and he definitely delivered.

When I think about all the time and effort he put into picking out my diamond- he spent 8 hours straight at multiple jewelers looking at diamond after diamond to find the right one, and turned down several larger stones because they didn’t sparkle enough or weren’t white enough- it gives me the warm fuzzies and I stop getting insecure about it.

This photo was taken at the very end of our honeymoon, after a week of beach and sweat and suncreen with no cleaning, so I think even when it’s filthy its sparkle really shows. <3

(Specs are .51 ct, princess cut, F-color, VS clarity. Oh, and I love my peek-a-boo diamonds which aren’t pictured!)

I LOVE my ring- my only insecurity is that I have heard stories of pave settingfalling out,and my entire band that twist is all pave…. I’m so afraid to bang it to hard.  Also, I feel it sometimes it is not practical very every day wear and tear. I don’t know if that sounds weird- but to me it just seems too delicate to wash dishes with or shower with, etc… I heard that Verragios are not “ideal” for everyday life..

My insecurity is that ppl always tell me it’s HUGE, i have a size 4 finger.  Also there is a visible tiny black dot in the center which I am very insecure about. But it’s a beautiful diamond that has a lot of sparkle.  I guess i shouldn’t worry too much, no one can see it but me =p

@weddingbee098:  I have a really similar shape ring. People say same to mYou but when I see it on anyone else (like you) I think it looks so good

@Eight6Eleven:  Great ring! Love the side profile, the thickness and I TOTALLY get what u mean! Abt what u love isn’t the norm – I’m a fan of thicker bands, unique styles that aren’t the ‘usual’ (not that the ‘norm’ is bad) and sometimes I also do wonder how it feels to wear a thinner one because they are elegant too > however the 18k white gold ones I tried feel really ‘light’ so I treasure and love mine [pic below] …

Its a plain platinum band 2.5-3mm, whose side profile features ‘us’ dancing because tts now our story began ๐Ÿ™‚ Thicker bands ftw!

Do u have a pic of yours worn? Wld love to see haha

Cheers!

I adore my ring, but the area where I live (NYC metro) sometimes makes me crave a little more “meat” in it..  Damn you, diamond shrinking syndrome!

Not gonna lie – I’d love to upgrade mine to a 3ct in the near future (mine is 2.2ct).  Jewelry is my one weakness.

Also, sometimes I wonder if I should have chosen a more ornate setting (ie. pave, halo, etc..) but I love how my wedding band complements the e-ring.

Lastly, this is not necessarily an insecurity but rather a possible ring regret .  I’ll always wonder about if I had gotten an emerald cut instead…!  (love love love – had to try it on in the store!)  I LOVE a meaty emerald…

When I haven’t been on the forums here, I have no insecurities about my ring. When I signed up and started reading about bees not being happy with their 1c rings and planning upgrades, etc, I thought there was something wrong with me NOT wanting anything bigger, as that seems to be quite common here. I can understand upgrading way later on, like after 20 years or so but I’ve read stories here where people have upgraded within a year!

Anyway, I you can see, there’s nothing to be insecure about on my finger!!! And all of the Rings in this thread are absolutely beautiful, you’d all be crazy to think otherwise!!!

@renwoman:  I agree! The ‘cute’ coment bugs me too, I suppose cute/unique can both be good or bad, so I try to assume they love my ring as much as I do! It did make me a little sad when my best friend called it cute, and another friend said, ‘oh I like the blue’ in a monotone voice.

This is a great thread! I LOVE all of your rings, they are absolutely stunning!

MY Fiance and I found a topaz ring that belonged to his great-grandparents, it was a tie pin that they had turned into a ring (and she lived to be 111!). Fiance mother told us it was aquamarine and I decided that I loved the story/aquamarine and we should use it for our ring. Fiance had a custome setting made and shelled out a decent amount (about the amt I excpected for a diamond e ring) to have it made into my ring. I LOVE my ring. Fiance was pretty upset when he was told after the fact that topaz has little value. So, my insecuritie is that people will think we are cheap for having a topaz ring, but right now I can’t imagine having anything else!

I am also a little worried about scratching it!
