Not a huge fan of the ring after about 6 month. Fiance kknew i wanted something different, not like anyone else’s. The center stone is 1ct. I would have preferred a halo settingor an emerld cut. I aked him to take me tiht him shopping at least once so I could see what was out there, but he did the whole process on his own. I dont “hate” it, but would not pick it out for myself…

If I’m going to be completely honest, I don’t have any insecurities with my actual ring. I absolutely LOVE the center diamond that has been passed down through FI’s family over multiple generations, and I love the setting he chose. Absolutely gorgeous!!
The one insecurity/worry that I have is that sometimes I don’t have the chance to stay on top of cleaning the ring as often as I should to allow it to truly shine the way it’s supposed to. For example, I had someone ask to look at the ring the other day, and I secretly wondered if she was judging the lack of sparkle. Haha

What an eye opening read! This thread contains some of the most gorgeous rings I’ve ever seen, and yet many of the wearers have insecurities.
As for me, I adore my ring. The diamond shape and setting are exactly what I wanted. It ought to be, I picked it out! There hasn’t been one single day since my Fiance put it on my finger that it hasn’t taken my breath away. But I do get insecure that the diamond (1.3 ct) is too small for my short, thick fingers. My dream ring was 2 ct princess. Then I start thinking I should have done a halo for more finger coverage…or maybe I should have gone with an oval for the elongated shape…or sacrificed cut/color for size. Then I’m ashamed because I know my guy spent a lot of money to give me the ring I wanted and he is so happy when he sees me admiring it. I feel like a greedy brat!
