@ladyamalthea:  unique is NOT code for ugly! You want your ring to be unique, it is a sign of your love between you and your fiancé! It would be weird to have a cookie cutter ring, like oh nice to meet you, hmm we have the Exact same ring…..

no one wants that! I love your ring it’s beautiful and Not ugly in the least!

My insecurity I suppose would be that I debated between a really warm color diamond or a full blown canary. I was told that you shouldn’t get a elongated stone with canary because it can appear splotchy in color. So I opted for an L colored oval and I’m obsessed!! It has a light champagne/sunshine color to it. I’m going to get a yellow gold wedding band to bring out the yellow more….. However, some (extremely rude) people have said “oh.. Did you know he was sacrificing color grade?” Is that so rude?! I mean, I very sharply explain that it is EXACTLY what I wanted. But I don’t want people thinking my wonderful Fiance “cut corners”! Some people…

@kuuipokai:  yikes that’s really rude!

I’m insecure about the quality of my diamond, especially the color, and I wish it was a halo sometimes to make it look bigger.

I flood this poor forum with my ring pictures, but here’s another.

my main insecurity comes from people being condesending about my having a gemstone instead of a diamond. I even had one person say it was gaudy 🙁

but I love my ring and it’s everything I ever wanted

I guess I have two insecurities… each stemming from comments made. The first is that its too big. My parents peers are constantly bringing it up and it makes me uncomfortable to say the least.

The second, and the one truly bothering me… is a comment from a recently engaged classmate. I barely know him but he insisted he look at my ring close up. He stared at it for two mins in silence before pronouncing it “umm its almost kinda nice”. WTF does that mean?!?! ya so now I am all worried that people think its ugly or cheap

Sometimes I feel like my center stone is too small, mostly because of the huge rings here on the bee. I also wish I have thin fingers like my sister. Ugh. Nonetheless, I am inlove with my ring. I’m only 19 and not all people my age get what I have so I’m extremely lucky that my fi gave me this beautiful verragio and a sparkly diamond 🙂

@KatyYoung:  your ring looks perfect on your hand don’t think it’s small compared to the rings you see here, the majority of the “huge” rings  here on the Bee are simulants–thus way cheaper to go big/huge…You have a gorgeous Verragio with a sparkly diamond–lucky girl! Smile

@ladyamalthea:  I love your ring.  Unique doesn’t mean ugly, it probably refers to your beautiful swirly band.

@gemgirl6:  You should totally reset! A halo would be so much better

I truly am in love with my ring it’s exactly what I wanted and actually I picked it out without knowing I was picking it out (long story). The only thing about my ring I would like to be different are the prongs. I adore round stones and I feel like my prongs from the top are a bit bulky and square it off.

@mariebuttons:  I’m flattered you remember my ring. Smile Your moissanite is in a halo setting right?  I’d love to see a picture as I’m trying to get ideas for resetting my diamond.

Sometimes I wish we went a little smaller.  I had always wanted .8 (my mom has .8, so it’s the “right” size in my mind), but 1ct was the smallest moissanite option in the drop-down menu, and I honestly never thought about doing a custom order.  I feel like my ring is huge at the office (plain bands and less than half carats, even on the senior researchers), and being so young, I worry that I’m coming off as some sort of spoiled princess brat.

And then of course, some days I think that since budget was no object, we could have gone with 1.2!
