I am probably in the minority, but I really don’t normally like doing things for V-day or getting flowers, jewelry or chocolates as gifts (okay, so maybe chocolate is a great treat for any random day though, yum! :P). I think it is because it is expected of me maybe (I can be stubborn 😉 ) In the past my Fiance has insisted on taking me out to dinner and every year I would just pretend V-day wasn’t approaching in hopes he would forget, lol. So, I don’t know what will happen this year yet. I think if we did something I’d like to maybe order in some chinese or pizza and play some board games.
I actually do like getting my Fiance cute valentines day cards with adorable animals on them though. I know.. I am weird. Especially since I like going out for our anniversary! lol…

chatnoir : I’m not a Valentine’s Day person either. I am a buy discount chocolate person though.

patchm : No sex on Ash Wednesday or during Lent? I’m no longer a practicing Catholic, that’s a new one to me.

DaniGirl03 : Anything other than dark chocolate is good with me (too bitter) 😉

beethree : Just Ash Wednesday and Good Friday

beethree : Hmmm my bad! I just looked it up to make sure that was the only two days (that is how I was taught grwoing up). Apparently there is no rule on sex during lent.
I still wouldn’t personally, because I wouldn’t feel comfortable wiht (my own mindset on it).
But again… my bad. Apparently this is not a rule!

In 1.5 months we celebrate Christmas, our anniversary, his birthday, and Valentine’s day. It’s a lot of planning for me! We have a $30 limit for V day and part of what I’ll do it cook dinner (caprese, homemade pasta w/ tomato sauce, and some kind of dessert), and hopefully serve it on our rooftop deck overlooking our city 🙂

Chinese food and cheap wine…an homage of we spent our first valentines day together after he spent a fortune on a Shari’s Berries arrangement he sent to the wrong house. He was broke afterwards and had just enough to purchase a bottle of cheap wine, and some chinese food.

Nothing’s ever planned for the actual day. We’re both freelancers and have lived long-distance for the last 5 years. I’m also quite an unromantic person. But we dress up when we get to see each other next, I wear something tight and sexy, and we do a really nice dinner out. ^_^ I’m kind of extra excited for this V-Day because we’ll be engaged for it, I dunno. It feels different, despite having been together for a really long time.

I’ve always loved Valentine’s Day, even when I was single. I would make cupcakes for the kids I teach, buy chocolates for my sister, call my mom, etc. 🙂 My exes weren’t really into it so we didn’t do anything, which makes me extra happy that my Fiance likes Valentine’s too! We don’t do anything crazy/expensive, but we do dress up a bit and go out. I can’t wait for next Valentine’s Day when we’re married.

We do a pretty low-key celebration but we do always celebrate. My husband will cook my favorite dish for dinner, we’ll drink some champagne, I’ll make some sort of dessert, and at some point sex.
My husband’s birthday is a week before so we do a big night out for that instead as it means we don’t have to deal with the crowds.

We are staying in since we have our new baby and toddler at home. Usually I cook but my hubby wants to this year. We are going to have seafood pasta and I’m going to make these cute cherry pie envelopes I saw on Pinterest. Also planning on making slime with the toddler for our fun activity 😊
I’d like to see the new fifty shades movie but will probably have to wait 😣

A friend of mine and my partner are going to see the new Fifty Shades movie…
My friend is a struggling single and usually spends it alone so we’re taking her out to dinner and a movie!

The Saturday before, Darling Husband got tickets for us to go to a dinner at a local park. They have outdoor activities for us to do as well. We have done similar events in years past and it’s always fun.
On the actual day we will exchange cards and I’ll pick up a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy’s for dinner.
