I posted yesterday about centerpiece ideas and we finally put one together. The roses we bought died…. So imagine this centerpiece much fuller with roses and more carnations. PLEASE tell me your honest opinion. Our wedding is outdoors in October. If you think I should make some sort of changes please tell me. Our wedding colors are ivory and light pink.

Very pretty! I think it will be perfect for an outdoor wedding. My only suggestion would be to tie a pretty ribbon around the vase/basket, even as it is it is very pretty.

@Cinderella92: We tried, but it looks really bad. Maybe it’s the wrong ribbon? If you know of any that will look nice, I would REALLY appreciate it.

@babylo0n: I think it’s pretty! Maybe you just need to work on your bows?
Also, “Thanks bunches” made me giggle since you were talking about flowers

Agree with the idea of lace, that would look really cute!

It will look fine with more flowers. It looks fine now.
Take off that ribbon, though. You don’t need it. You already have a band of cording wound around the outside of the wooden vase.Because your vase tapers to a narrower bottom, any ribbon tied on will keep sliding to the bottom. You would have to glue it in place.
I honestly don’t think you need to add anything to the vase but if I did add something, it wouldn’t be a ribbon.
An idea for a rustic wedding would be to get some thin wood slices-you can buy them at a craft store- and use a wood burning pen to draw a heart and your initials.
You could glue that to one side of the wooden vase.

Looks great as is! Please don’t add the ribbon, it doesn’t need it and only makes it look awkward. The twin already gives it plenty of texture.

@julies1949: Thank you for this great idea! I saw wooden carved hearts and I am thinking of putting that on the box. I think that would add the perfect little touch.

I love it! I agree maybe adding lace, although it may not be your style? The wooden hearts would be super cute. You could DIY them easily with store bought materials at a craft store. Good luck!!

I would use a thicker ribbon and tie a big bow on front and i would have either pink carnations with white roses or other way round.x
