NO this is not going to be another moissanite VS diamond thread. I know the properties of both very well, in fact I have owned a moissanite and while I did not choose to keep it for my e-ring I am considering purchasing a moissanite wedding band.
my biggest issue with finding a wedding band is that I don’t want it to take away from my e-ring OR look too similar to my e-ring (my band is very thin so pairing it with another thin band would make my ring look like a split shank and I don’t want that)…
Here is a diamond wedding band I tried on today:
Here is a similar moissanite version of the ring above taken from photos online (do you think width wise these two bands are the same? – I never asked the jeweler what the width of the diamond wedding band was)..

How thick is the band on your engagment ring? I would not hesitate to get a moissanite eternity band, I have a friend who has one and the tiny stones are so sparkly and gorgeous and all perfectly clear. My big issue is inclusions, I don’t like being able to see them, and stones of that quality in diamond to me just aren’t worth it monetarily speaking, the moissanite version is just as beautiful as well as much less expensive. If your band is 1.5-1.8mm, I thin the band you tried on was either 2 or 2.5mm. 🙂

@MrsCassie: yay this is what I wanted to hear…I’m not sure of the measurement of the band on my e-ring I am going to go back to the original jeweler I purchased from just to see what they would be willing to offer price-wise on a band, but I am very seriously considering going with the low profile moissanite setting…there is a 15% restocking fee so I’m a bit hesitant to just order… I will update when I decide!
