I don’t seem to like any boys’ names. Whenever we think baby, we think girl names. Weird.

Celeste Alicia (Alicia is a combo of grandmother’s names and Celeste is a name he’s been gunning for since the early days of our relationship.)

Arielle (Ari) not sure on middle name. We thought it was cute the other night lol

For boys, I prefer classic names– like Henry or Andrew.

I’m Swedish and Fiance is British, so because our children will have a british surname I really want them to have a Nordic first name. Especially as I can see that we may end up living outside of Sweden later on when they are older. So for a girl we have Svea. It comes from Svea Rike, which is the old Swedish name for Sweden. Today Sweden is Sverige, and Svea lives on as a relatively common first name.

For a boy I basically told Fiance that he could chose, because I like traditional boys names, and many are the same or really similar, like Erik, William, Alexander etc. He however came up with a different option, which really touched me. He said that because I am also part Finnish (relatively recent discovery, my mum was adopted) he would maybe like a traditional boys name but in Finnish. So at the top of our boys list is now Niilo, which is Nicholas in Finnish.

Long story, but anyway 🙂 There is so much in a name, and I think it is really something you need to discuss, feel, love, and think about 🙂

brighteyedgirl:  LOVE LOVE LOVE Carter. Trying to convince DH on Carter Nash, but he’s not really having it. Nash for Diane Nash, one of the Freedom Riders of the 1960s.

For a girl, I love Claire, Cora, Vivienne and Evangeline.

We just named our baby girl Marley Gia.

If we have a boy, it will be Eden Theo.

We like names that are uncommon but not unusual.

I love sebastian for a boy and amelie for a girl but we are not ttc anytime soon. I love short cute traditional names but still havent come up with one that isnt already used by someone i know like Nina or Ana. Any help? I also love french names – all my names are french, even though i am not, although i get ‘teased’ alot for my middle name, i love it especially now that my grandpa passed away a month ago and its after him – Pascale (the E at the end makes it feminine).

My 8 month old’s name is Catherine. If she had been a boy, she probably would’ve been Elijah.

Right now, I’m liking Alexander/Alexandra for a second one 🙂

I like Joel for a boy.

We’re debating on girl names. I want Eliana, he wants Elaina (nickname Lanie). I think both would work but Eliana has deeper meaning for me.
