1. My family. We are having a huge wedding (200+ guests) because of the pressures of my (huge) family. Otherwise we would deffinetly elope. So this is basicaly for my family, so i want them to be happy.

2. Honeymoon. After the big wedding we are going to scotland for our honeymoon without telling anyone and we are going to really spend some meaningfull time together after all the stress of the wedding.

3. My dress. Since I’m going ahead and having a wedding wedding like my family want, I’m going to do something different with my dress. I don’t want it to be white, and I want it to be absolutely gorgeous. I want it to look really classy and (i know it sounds shallow to say this but oh well) expensive.

4. Food. I want the food to be good and I don’t want the guests to have to wait for it. I know it takes a while for the bridal party to take pictures, which is why the guests can go straight to the reception and start eating without us. I want everyone to have a good time.

5. Venue. We’re having the reception in an old building that was once a winery. It’s very large and romantic (as in poorly lit lol).

TOP 5

  1. My personal written wedding ceremony and vows are done like I want… “repeat after me” style
  2. Ceremony – short and sweet, less than 10 minutes
  3. Videographer – only for the wedding vows portion($600 dollars?? WOW)
  4. We pay for the whole thing so we don’t “owe” anybody including the nice breakfast brunch for the guests paid in advance so no embarrassment of scrambling for paying afterwards
  5. Some nice pictures for a small album – no professional photographer, asking FI’s son to do the pictures

I have to exclude the obvious “marrying my love” and focus on the just ceremony 🙂

1) Outdoors. Preferably the beach in Galveston.

2) Only the closest family and friends… SUPER small.

3) Awesome photography.

4) Comfortable, flowy dress.

5) Honest, simple non-religious ceremony.

1)  Don’t wanna be too stressed even though we and our friends/family will be doing all the setup ourselves.

2)  Make things easy and fun for guests once they get here – many of the people will have to fly, then drive a long ways, to get to the middle of Wyoming where Fiance and I grew up.  It’s worth it though folks!!

3)  Fun relaxed celebratory joyful colorful vibe.

4)  Enough delicious food and plenty of drinks for all.

5)  A ceremony that reiterates our deep love and respect for each other, and involves our guests enough that they feel personally invested in our marriage.  But short and sweet and not too cheesy.
