Anything vintage is new for my area…at least my crowd lol.

Also, I’m doing a snapshot table instead of a photobooth. I’m looking for polaroid film to use and have people clip the pics to vintage shutters.

We’re having rita’s italian ice served during cocktail hour….we love it ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, and I’m having crossword puzzles in our programs…not super unique but I think our friends and family will think so:)

Our theme was vintage birds, and bird cages in browns and blues.

I had everyones name and table number on vintage look lables which hung from twisted willow. Guests needed to find their name on the branches which matched a corresponding tag att to their wine glass.

The table numbers had bird silouettes and where set in photoframes, little ceramic birds sat on each table to.

Everything in the reception was kept white with hints of wood, aqua and green from the flowers.

  • We’ll be doing a DIY photobooth as well. I posted about it a number of times on WB but heres one of the threads that I went into detail on.
  • We’re having a fall themed wedding so we’ll be giving our guests orchard mini apple pies as favors. They each come packaged in their own mini pie box and we’ll be personalizing them with some coordinating ribbon and matching label. We taste tested them a few months ago and OMG they are DELISH!
  • Karaoke!! I absolutely love karaoke so I really wanted to incorporate it into our wedding. The last hour of our reception will be karaoke.
  • Fiance and I didn’t really like any of the hor d’ourves that our venue offered (we couldn’t even pronounce a number of them) so instead we are having cheeseburger sliders and french fry cones during our cocktail hour.
  • Fiance and his guys will be rocking some pretty badass custom designed Nikes instead of traditional wedding shoes.
  • I’m hoping to secure a local musician to perform an acoustic version of our processional song live at our ceremony.

Thats all I can think of right now but I’m sure theres more.

hmmmmm no cake! just homemade desserts by family, a candy buffet, and a cotton candy machine!

my bridesmaids and myself are all wearing fun and funky hoisery!

all my bridesmaids are wearing different cocktail dresses

reception venue is a museum–guests have access to all the displays

a clothesline with tons of old family photos clipped on

playing all my familly member’s first dance songs throughout the reception

giving away mix tapes as wedding favors

that’s all i can think of for now!

@ChantelleyLace: Well they are going to be as classy as possible, lol. Fiance and I love burgers and fries so we wanted to incorporate that into our wedding. We’re also planning on setting up a “dip bar” where our guests can try out an assortment of different dips with their fries. We’re hoping to come up with 10-15 different options so that we can offer a wide variety.

We had our ceremony and reception at a baseball stadium! That was unique because it’s a brand new stadium and we were in the first 10 weddings they ever had there.

@julies1949: Thanks! I’ve been looking on ebay and bidding on some…I only need about five packs but it still seems like it’ll cost a small fortune for even that! I can’t decide if it’s cheaper to buy two brand new polaroid 300 cameras and film or use my existing polaroid 600s with five packs of mega expensive film!

Wonderful ideas ladies!  Your weddings will be beautiful!

Our tables names are ski mountains we have skied together at.  Our table is the mountain we got engaged at.  I am also putting a picture of each of us at each table of us growing up throughout the years.  Our guest book I made out of our engagement pictures on Shutterfly and it came out beautiful.  I am giving each of my girls hankies the day of the wedding with a special note from me. I put together a pretty substantial list for our DJ of songs that we love and want to hear at the wedding so it will be personalized.
