oh my gosh I am drooling over the citrus and lemon flavor! We are having a three tiered cake with the following flavors from bottom to top: chocolate with raspberry mousse filling (FI’s pick), lemon cake with strawberry swirl and lemon mousse filling (my pick), and apple spice cake with caramel filling to add a little fall flavor.

socalgirl1689:  We’re also having three flavors. The top is our “anniversary cake,” which I guess is the one we’re supposed to freeze and save for our 1st anniversary – it’s Banana’s Foster (white cake with chocolate and banana filling). The two guest flavors are Tiramisu and Chocolate with Raspberry Ganache. Yum! Yours sound SO good..I wish salted caramel had been an option for us.

My fiance really wanted carrot cake so we are doing that as one choice. My cousin is our baker (she’s a professional) and everyone in my family loves her carrot cake so I’m hoping that will be fine. For our second choice my baker cousin, another cousin, my aunt and I tasted a DOZEN cupcakes from a local bakery that has some great options. We decided the “mexican hot chocolate” was our favorite so my cousin is recreating that. It’s not super chocolatey, the cake has Aubelita chocolate in it, which isn’t a very strong flavor.

We have a four tiered wedding cake – Bottom tier Vanilla with their vanilla filling, 2nd layer Chocolate with vanilla filling, third layer strawberry chapagne with vanilla filling, and finally, our anniversary tier is wedding almond with raspberry cream!

I’m more excited about our anniversary tier than anything else!

We had 2 tiers. Top tier was DH’s choice….chocolate cake with raspberry filling.  Bottom tier was my choice… champagne flavored white cake with lemon curd filling. It was covered with vanilla Italian buttercream. That was 13 years ago, and it still makes my mouth water thinking about it.

socalgirl1689:  We are going to have two flavors. The first is called Summer and is a gold cake with strawberry buttercream with white chocolate shavings. The second is called Pina Colada and is a coconut cake with rum wash and roasted pineapple buttercream. Our baker actually sends us a small cake on our 1 year anniversary so we don’t have to eat frozen year old cake which is awesome!

I have 4 tiers. 2 are lemon, 2 are butter peacan ( vanilla cake with a caramel and pecan filling) My Future Mother-In-Law said that was going to be nasty LMBO…she tickles me.  Fiance has 3 cakes, the biggest one (Philly Eagles duffle bag) is an oreo cake, the nex size (football) is a reese cake, the smallest (Eagles helmet) is a vanilla chocolate marble.  Future Mother-In-Law said the reese cake was nasty, we let her try leftovers. Ive learned to laugh at her hysterically, pisses her off lol.

We did cupcakes and went super traditional with the favors because we hate fruit fillings. Chocolate with chocolate buttercream, vanilla with vanilla buttercream, red velvet with cream cheese frosting.  We also had macarons, cookies, and a small cake we cut (chocolate with vanilla buttercream).

socalgirl1689:  We’re doing mini bundt cakes about the size of a cupcake, so the icing is all the same: a light buttercream. The flavors are lemon, marble, carrot cake, white chocolate raspberry and white white chocolate. They are all delish.
