I think food favors are the way to go. We picked strawberries and made jam- it really wasn’t that hard, and we got it done well in advance!

Old fashioned sweets in small blue organza bags (think rhubarb & custards, pear drops, sherbet lemons…). Everyone likes sweets, £30 in total, done. 🙂

annb9:  I didn’t buy them online, so I don’t have a link, but here’s a picture of them with the box in the background. The company name is Verdici. I purchased it at a store that specializes in wedding favours (bombineree store)

erw4338:  The 150 various wine glasses & cylinders we’re using as centerpieces will also be our favors. We will have our guest name their glasses. The 30+ 3-Tier Servers we’re using for our finger foods ‘n candy buffet will be given to the guest during our giveaway drawing.

Wow everyone has come up with some awsome ideas :). food favors definitely seem to be the way to go. we are doing pink and white macarons in clear boxes. I’m obsessed and surprisingly not a lot of my family has tried them. And if anyone leaves them behind I will gladly eat them lol.

We’re having a vintage garden themed wedding and I’m making silver-plated “bird on a branch” earrings for the girls and purchasing steampunk fox pocket watches for the boys.  We are having fewer than 30 guests so while cost per person for favours is around $5, total cost is $140 so not too bad overall.  All our guests we adore, and all are travelling to be with us, so we definitely wanted to give a little token of appreciation.  Also we bought some white silk hand fans for the ceremony (only $1 each on ebay), so guests will be welcome/encouraged to take one if they wish.
