Aww. I like this post- I havent read our vows since the wedding! Here they are:

I love you. You are my best friend.
Today I give myself to you in marriage.
I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you,
and to comfort you in times of sorrow and struggle.
I promise to love you in good times and in bad,
when life seems easy and when it seems hard,
when our love is simple, and when it is an effort.
I promise to cherish you, and to always hold you in highest regard
These things I give to you today, and all the days of our life.

D.
You’re my best friend, my confident, and from now on, my family. I love you because you’re kind, patient, funny, perseverant. Even more important, I love you for all the little things you do that make me feel special for you.
In addition to the vows I make to you on our wedding day, I promise that I will always appreciate how lucky I am that you are by my side in the good times and in the bad times. I also promise to ensure our relationship continues to grow with simplicity, complicity and tenderness, as long as we live.

oh my goodness these are so sweet and tear-jerking that I want to start writing my vows right now!! How early is too early? Our wedding is still four months away!!

My fiance and I are writing our own vows too, and I know I’m going to cry (and he’s a big softie, he will too!!).. but I’m excited. I’m looking forward to that more than anything.

Aww, I don’t think that your vows necessarily need to be long to be very powerful and sweet. We’re just wordy 😉
