I work at a start up in Manhattan so my work clothes are mostly casual and black. I’d say the essentials are:

Black jeans

Dark jeans

a few solid colored silk shirts (navy, white and black)

More black shirts

2 pairs of leather/suede boots

Nice leather handbag

Tbh most days I look like I’m on the set crew of a high school drama club or going to a very casual funeral. It’s not very inspired but dark colors + blowout + moderate makeup looks put together and transitions easily from day to night

My typical work outfit is a pair of gray or black pants or a skirt, a tank top/shirt with a cardigan on top.  If it is cold out I typically pair a scarf with it (I wear scarves daily from like October until April so I just keep it on when taking off my coat ha).  I wear either black flats, gray booties, or black boots.  I have other cute shoes but they don’t seem to come out as often.

I have certain “colors” I gravitate toward.  So I have mix and match blues/greens for tops and also pinks/magentas/purples which I mix and match.  I have some red, and other colors, but I tend to have mostly deeper colors.

I also LOVE wearing statement necklaces and earrings.  If I wear a statement necklace I wear basic earrings and vice versa.  Often I don’t wear a necklace UNLESS it is a statement necklace haha.

Oh…dresses actually are…the easiest thing ever to put together.  You look VERY put together, but it is so easy to throw one on with a cardigan and boom!  Outfit.  I wear LOTS of fleece-lined tights in the winter which makes wearing my dresses very easy to wear even when the temperature is crazy low.  Maxi dresses in the summer!

loose fitting tops that cover up the chest area

black and white tanks (for under shirts)

leggings (thick black and grey)

sweaters

I prefer to wear skirts and dresses most days, so some of my esentials are

 – Black, grey, and patterened pencil skirts

 – Black dress pants (skinny and straight leg)

 – All the great looking dresses I can get my hands on.  I especially like dresses from Tahair and Calvin Klein.

 – Variety of shirts and blouses

 – Variety of cardigans and blazers

 – lots of necklaces

 – Tons of black tights from Old Navy.  I’ve never found tights I like better than the ones at ON for some reason.

Scrub pants, scrub tops, good running shoes, underwear that doesn’t ride up my butt, a good sports/yoga bra that is supportive but not too tight, a hairband to keep my hair in a ponytail and also compression socks keeps legs and feet less tired. #Nurselife 😂

I have a lot of work clothes as I love shopping and fashion. But most of them are mix and match. My essentials are:

– suits. Simple jackets and cigarette rather skinny trousers. I have 2 blue suits, 2 grey ones, 2 pin stipe

– shirts and blouses. Mostly white and light blue. About 10 of those.

– a couole of more fun jackets (a red and a yellow one)

– dresses. I love Ralph Lauren ones from stretchy materials or Hugo Boss

– in terms of shoes a pair of black and a pair of blue pumps (good quality ones). Also some men style flat office shoes.

I couldn’t resist this post even though I can’t help at all. I wear this to work every day, unfortunately.

When I worked in an office I wore mostly skirts and blouses. I really hate pants.

My wardrobe is mostly dresses for work (personal taste – I feel so much more put together in a dress than pants + top + blazer/cardigan). Stylish boots for the winter, a versatile (and comfortable) pair of heels too!

I love to add jewelry like a fun statement necklace, cool watch and maybe a RHR.

I’m a personal trainer, my professional clothes aren’t super professional. They’re just polished sweats. (In short: I am of no help)

My basics are

Joggers, 6 pairs

Cutout tank tops/performance shirts, immense quantity

Light hoodies, 4-5

Trainers, 5 pairs

And they’re mostly all black or grey.
