Bibizab:  Ahhhhh So fun!!!

We have a choice of 3. My family makes honey, his family makes maple syrup and my Fiance and I pick and make wild blueberry jam evey year. So we’re having all 3! Something from either side and something we do together.

We are doing a photobooth which provides a party favor of a strip of three photos with our names and wedding date.  We also will have a basket with custom matchbooks since we met on match.com.

I had also thought about cake pops for the tables, but I’m not sure on that.

We went super simple and had our favors be part of the table decor.  I got dove chocolates with wrapper colors that matched our colors and we scattered them around on all the tables so that they matched the table decor.  So, sort of decoration, sort of favors.  Regardless, there weren’t any left at the end!  We also had a few candy buckets around as well, although I think the under 12 crowd took care of most of those (which was fine and planned).

Most weddings I have been to people leave the favours on the table because they are too drunk and forget! So I am going to do something that is small enough to put in a purse, and if they leave it I don’t mind having lots of. I am thinking either matchbooks, or coffee from the local shop. I want to give tree seedlings but I don’t think it’s practical as most of our guests are travelling. Or something that can be eaten is always good, love the trail mix idea.

Our theme is “Autumn Apple” and we’re doing candy apples and caramel/chocolate apples. They will also serve at the place card on each place setting.

I love all of these wonderful ideas!!

My FI’s family owns an apiary and a sugar bush so I think we’re going to give honey or maple syrup out.  We lean toward honey, his dad is leaning toward us doing the maple syrup … so we don’t know yet!

I wasn’t that motivated with favors, but I scraped up a little something. Each person got a Beatles badge/pin with the album cover that matched their table. They also got a poker chip with our date and names on it. Our escort cards were cassette tapes, and I think most people kept those, too.
