kmh88 :  Charlie was on my boy name list too! I would have named him Charles after my grandfather. Unfortunately my cousin and his wife got the idea too and they had a baby boy named Charlie 4 years ago so I can’t use it 🙁

Murphy for a girl. Can’t use it cause I already used it on my cat lol. I love that name on a girl though (interstellar anyone?)

CloverBells :  I’ve gone to school with a guy who went by Harris but his full name was Harrison, and no one called him Harry.

If we have a girl, I’m really pushing for Evelyn. The other day I was thinking how pretty Evelyn Harper would be, but there was something about it that sounded familiar. Two days later, out of the blue it dawned on me that Evelyn Harper was the kind of crazy mom on the show Two and a Half Men. It’s still a pretty name but I think I’ll keep looking for a middle name option.

Also a note to all moms: Google EVERYTHING!

I loved the name Emilienne until I found out it was the name of a 1970s porno. And not even a highly rated one.

I love Scarlett but fiance HATES it! Haha says it sounds like a stripper name. I also don’t think I could use any other S name because it makes me think of scartlet letter when combined with his last name 😀

chocolatewings122 :  Juniper 😭 I’ve loved this name for 7 years and one of my bffs announced today that’s what they are naming their little girl. I’m sure I mentioned it at some point in the last years, but I’m 5 weeks pregnant and hadn’t told her yet. It was my #1 name and I honestly want to cry (thanks hormones).

Freyja, I love it but the spelling would annoy her for life. Also Ophelia(oh-feel-E-uh) but it’s my aunts name AND my exes current wife’s name. Weird ya know?

Madison and Lucas are names my husband and I both love but will never be able to use seeing as some people close to us have named their children something very close to those names.

I’ve loved the name Trinity since before I knew there were people named that, lol. It’s the English version of a very important cultural term for me. However, in English, it also means a religious principle to which I don’t subscribe and naming my child that would be setting her (and us) up for a lifetime of side-eyes. Then of course, there’s the whole Matrix reference now. So unfortunately, it’s a nope on that name for us.

Aiden since my husband’s friends kid is named Jayden. David and Frederick as we have relatives with those names. Adrianna because any name with Anna is off limits because my friend named her daughter that.

I always wanted Rowan for a boy, based on a main character in my favourite book series, but OH is called Rowan. I then wanted Finn, but we got a puppy who was definitely a Finn so there that goes.

I wanted Evie for a girl, but stupidly suggested that to my SIL so now my niece is called Evie. Then I wanted Aelin, from that same book series, but OH said if she was ever bullied they’d call her Alien 🙁

loveydove :

Hey now. Tell your hubby my first name only has three letters.  My life has been working out quite well despite this heavy burden.

Someone has to speak out about these prejudices.

Btw, Ava is one of my faves.
