For boys, we’re pretty well set.. Mark George III “Trey” & Dominic Carlin.

For girls though, we cannot mutually agree on ANYTHING haha.

I like.. Ellia Rose & Hallie Christina.

DH prefers.. Emily & Peyton.

Not to mention we don’t want kids for a good 3-5 years & even then we only want one (maybe two if the first one is near perfect haha) so all of our ‘brainstorming’ could amount to nothing anyway!

Sometimes I bring up Maude just to test is out  without explicitly saying we have chosen it and people seem to hate it. Once it belongs to someone I think that changes people’s view. What do other Bees think? I have french background which I want to try to honour in a non pretentious way. Others are:

Girl

1.Maude

Paulette

Edith (not a family name, just think it’s lovely)

Veronica

Aurelie

Boy

1.Arthur

Marc

Julius (my absolute fave but FIs last name starts with an “S” so they would run into each other and sound like Julia Lastname )

Ernest

Paul

I love Nicholas as my go to for a boy but also digging Dalen right now. If DH didnt get a say my go to for a girl is Noelle. I like Callie right now but ya can’t count how many times I’ve had the “perfect” name! Lol

our names are pretty much set in stone

Girl: Katherine Marie…will call her Kate (DH’s mom is Kathryn and his grandma’s middle name was Catherine, so it combines the spellings, my sister’s middle name is Marie)

Boy: Cameron Eugene (DH picked Cameron; and his middle name, father’s middle name, and grandfather’s middle name is Eugene…no getting around that one)

I have very often loved other names.  Mostly girl names…Marisa, Brooklyn, Braiden

missjz:  the best way I can describe it is “mawd” . Does that make sense? My late Mum and I both have names that contain “AU” which is what I’m thinking of trying to continue

christabel:  I think you should absolutely pick what you want.  It may seem different to some people at first, but it will grow on them.  And some people will question you from the beginning on where you came up with such a cool name.  I think it’s different and cool!!
