Hey Mommy bees,
I’ve been doing some googling on baby products as I am currently setting up my baby registry and am hesitant to put Johnson & Johnson products on there. I am not completely against it, but i have read that some babies get rashes or parents were just happier with other products. If i get some J&J at my shower, i will use them up for sure (unless my baby starts getting a rash of course!). But i also have the option of registering for J&J Natural products or Aveeno Baby – all owned by J&J. Can anyone say what their preference is and why?
I also read that Burt’s Bees and California Baby are really good, but pricier. So I may have to wait a bit before trying those.

We use Aveeno, and I like it. I use the nighttime lavender shampoo/wash and the lavender lotion on both kids, and the DD gets a special kid’s leave-in conditioner, since she has hair and DS is still bald. 🙂 Also, I’ve found the Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Lotion is really great for eczema and cradle cap. And I can buy Aveeno products in giant bottles at Costco, so they’re really cheap.
Some of my mommy friends swear by California Baby (especially their “calming spray”), but it’s more money than I’m willing to spend. If you’re very concerned about ingredients, CA Baby might be the way to go.

Just gonna put it out there Aveeno is Johnson & Johnson product.
But for my son…I really used anything. He isn’t sensitive to really anything. I really like Target brand stuff. But if I had to buy everything one brand of the ones you provided, I would go with California Baby, I really liked the stuff that we did purchase of that brand.

J&J also has cancer causing chemicals in them, and that’s why I chose to use Burt’s bees products. Yes, they are more expensive, but Asafirst time mom, you probably don’t realize how little of these products you actually use. For instance my ill guy is 2 months old and I would say there is 3tbsp missing from the bottle so far. It will probably last 6 to 9 months.
